Chapter 4The week had gone by quickly. George and June had made plans for their individual visible gardens and the hidden garden in the hill. They’d started seedlings and had sown in the garden beds. He’d had to pull up the chicken weed, which was sad. It was good feed, but there would be more. Weeds grew, even if veggies didn’t. He yawned as he packed a basket of eggs and a bunch of rhubarb stalks. They had several rhubarb plants in the woods, but it still hurt to harvest from the visible plant.
