I woke up a few hours later, not in the hot tub but in the circular bed. The sheets were high-quality cotton and the two soft pillows that supported my head were of the same excellent material. I lifted the sheets and peered beneath them, expecting to be n***d but, instead, I appeared to be wearing a pair of pristine silk pyjamas. Sofia was sitting in the corner of the room, reading a book. It didn’t occur to me that reading a book was a strange pastime for an android. I let the covers drop back onto me and coughed to attract her attention.
She looked up from her reading material.
“Can I help you, sir?”
“I hope so. I’m feeling a little hungry. Is there any food about?”
