Chapter 8 “Check the compass.” I could almost feel the urgency in Sestra’s voice, and it didn’t comfort me one bit. I was way out of my depth and hadn’t realised quite how dangerous this mission might be. It was fine to shrug off potential danger by putting on a front of bravado, but when bullets began ringing around your ears and it became real – well – that was something quite different.
