Nina parks her mini cooper in the parking of the mall. I sit in front, putting on the music I like, joking with Nina and Addi.
“Where should we start?” Addison asks, entering the shopping center.
“Let’s check the one on the second floor,” I say, thinking about the outfit I didn’t buy last time. They know immediately which shop I am referring to, and we walk toward the elevator.
A group of boys stares at us while we walk past them, and we pretend we don’t see it. I flip my hair when we are in front of them, and I hear one of them whistle. I turn to them and smile at them. They stay silent, and I even see one of them has his mouth slightly open. We keep walking, and when we are far enough, I grab Nina’s arm, laughing with her. We enjoy this kind of reaction. After all, who doesn’t like it?
We finally reach my favorite shop and know exactly where to find the cloth I am looking for. Addi and Rachelle look on the shelves, and Nina follows me to the changing room.
“What do you think?” I ask after changing into a short skirt and sexy top with a deep neckline. The outfit highlights my assets.
Nina doesn’t look convinced.
“It’s not good?”
“Don’t get me wrong, it suits you perfectly. But you look too sexy…” Nina says, still staring at my outfit. “Bryan won’t like it, he is more into the innocent look.”
“Yeah, you right,” I sigh, closing the curtain to change back. “Can you help find an outfit that says ‘I’m sexy and pretty, but I don’t know it’.”
Nina laughs, knowing perfectly that I’m not that innocent.
Addison comes to us, with a midnight blue dress, and show it to us. “So?” She seems excited, and I can imagine her perfectly in it.
“Yeah, you would break hearts for sure in that dress,” I say with a wink, and she giggles, getting inside the changing cabin.
Nina follows me to help me get a new outfit. We search, but I can’t find something I like. Addison comes to us, running, with her dress on. She looks gorgeous. It has a heart shape bustier, tight on the top, until her waist, and then it is puffed. It is knee heigh. With her long, wavy, blond hair, and blue eyes, she looks like a princess. It is perfect for her character since she is the kind of girl who dreams to be a princess. She has a really nice personality and she is beautiful, but the typical gullible girl that we try to protect from bad boys.
“Wow, you look am-a-zing,” I say with my mouth wide open. She giggles, spinning on herself. Nina also looks amazed and she gives her thumbs up.
“The level is going to be high, it’s will be hard to match it this time,” Nina says, joking and complimenting Addi at the same time. Addison blushes, and we are in a awe in front of this beautiful innocent girl. Addison then runs to Rachelle, asking her how she is.
We go back to our research of the perfect outfit with Nina, and she founds for herself a sexy black dress. She doesn’t have only Bryan in mind, on the contrary of me, so she can wear whatever she likes.
I find for myself, a cute simple white dress. It is not sexy, and is loose at the bottom part, starting from my waist, and stops just before my knees. However, I have to say that I look really cute, and the top part really goes for the look I was trying to achieve: sexy without knowing it. The straps are white ribbons, and another ribbon looking material goes around my waist, highlighting it.
When we discover our outfit with Nina, we whistle to each other.
“He is so going to fall for you,” Nina says with a smile, checking me out.
“He better be, I am trying so hard for him,” I say faking annoyance, but can’t stop smiling thinking about him.
Rachelle goes out of the changing room, and I realized that she went for the same look as me, with a different outfit. I look at her, from head to toes, and fake deception. “Oh dear, this makes you look fatter.”
“Yeah, you can’t possibly wear that,” Nina adds with a wince.
She actually looks beautiful, that’s why we can’t let her wear that. Addison comes to us and looks at Rachelle. We know she was about to compliment her, so Nina, discreetly, gives her a nudge to shut her up. Rachelle looks a bit disappointed, looking back to her reflection, before shaking her head and changing back to her normal clothes. While she changes, Nina comes closer to her cabin. “I’m hungry, we should call it a day, and eat something at that new coffee shop.”
“I haven’t found something yet,” Rachelle says from the other side of the curtain.
“Oh, yeah, true… I know! You can wear that outfit you wore last time at our party. You know, the one with the black straps.” Nina smiles mischievously, making a contrast with the tone she uses and her expression. She can be quite mean sometimes, and I’m happy to be on her good side.
We all change back, and Rachelle looks disappointed. We all have a new outfit, except her.
We go to the first floor, and try the new coffee shop Nina was talking about. She stares at the cakes, I go next to her, craving for one of those cakes, they look so yummy.
“What are you girls getting?” Addison asks, coming closer to us.
Nina smirks, and I know that she has a bad idea. She gives me a small tap from her elbow, and look at Rachelle. “I don’t know, one of this cake, for sure,” she says out loud.
I try to hide a snicker, knowing what she is doing. It isn’t nice at all, but it’s Rachelle’s fault for trying to go for the guy I want. I agree out loud with Nina, and we go closer to the counter. We talk among us, letting Rachelle order first.
According to Nina’s plan, she orders a piece of cake, thinking we will do the same.
When it’s our turn, Nina orders a mint tea, no sugar. I order the same, and Addi looks at us, confused.
“Darling, we can’t have sugar, not when Bryan’s party is so close,” Nina informs her.
“Yeah, I don’t want to have a pimple just this day,” I add with a smile.
“My dress is quite tight, I don’t want to gain weight,” Nina continues, looking innocent.
Addison nods, agreeing with us, genuine innocence on her face, not like Nina and I. She orders a peach iced tea, and we go sit at a table. Rachelle looks furious but doesn’t say a thing.
We chitchat about nothing in particular while sipping on our drinks. As Rachelle doesn’t eat her cakes, Nina comments on how it would be a waste to throw it, and guilt Rachelle into eating it.
Yeah, Nina can be very scary, and one mean girl. I'm lucky she is my best friend.
