#Morning…..
Eva gasped sitting up on the bed.
Someone was knocking on her room door and the entire room was already bright from the morning sunlight.
She had returned early that morning to her room before Miguel would wake up and throw a tantrum about her laying on his bed!
"Miss Eva?.."
"Ye…yes?.." Ev stuttered getting off the bed.
"Breakfast is ready." The maid notified.
"Oh.. okay. I'll be down in a bit." Eva replied and groaned.
Gosh!
She was already late for school.
Eva quickly dashed into the bathroom for a quick bath.
Miguel had made her lose sleep after his unconscious closeness to her last night and the thought of it alone made her skin crawl.
****
When she finally got to the dining area, Miguel was already there and her heart missed a terrible beat the moment she laid eyes on him.
What if he remembers what had happened the previous night?
Eva gulped and sat down trying so hard not to look at him.
He didn't even spare her a glance nor said anything till he ate and exited the mansion.
Once he was gone,Eva heaved happily and hurried up while eating her breakfast.
Miguel must have forgotten about everything that had happened the previous night.
Somehow,she was glad but then…disappointed.
Everything he said to her,did he really mean it?
Or…..
It was probably from the effect of drinking.
Maybe he mistook her for someone else.
Psst…
What the hell made her think he'd think of her that way all of a sudden?
Eva sighed and got off her seat heading out of the mansion.

Eva closed her locker and turned to leave when she bumped right into someone.
"Hey Eva." The boy smiled at her.
"Oh ..Max. Good morning." Eva greeted with a smile.
"It really is a great morning. Especially when I see you." He said and Eva felt her cheeks try to heat up.
She bit inside of her cheeks and avoided his gaze.
"Where to?" Max asked.
"Um…nowhere in particular. I am waiting for my friend." Eva replied.
"Oh …that silent girl? I still wonder how she ended up being your friend." Max sniggered and Eva arched her brow.
"What is that supposed to mean?" She asked and he lifted his arms.
"I mean no harm baby. See you around." He winked and walked away.
"Ugh!" Eva groaned, palming her face.
Bunch of annoying boys.
"Eva…" She heard Mary's voice and raised her head to see Mary approaching her.
"Took you so long." Eva rolled her eyes.
"Sorry. Mrs Lee called on me. Where are we headed to?" Mary asked as they walked towards the exit.
"To get lunch of course. Where else?" Eva chuckled.
***LATER***
Eva watched as the laundry maid fixed her used clothes in a basket and prepared to leave.
"Um …" Eva voiced out and the maid stopped to face her.
"I am really bored out here. Do you mind me joining you?" Eva asked and the maid shook her head with a bow.
"I don't actually,Miss Eva." She responded.
"Yaaay!" Eva cheered quietly and they both exited her room.
Eva followed her down the stairs and got to a room she never knew was there in the mansion.
The laundry room.
The machines there were highly standardized and a lot which would obviously boost the efficiency of her work.
The maid began sorting out clothes as Eva watched.
She then used her eyes to scan the room till it fell on a basket and her memory seemed to find a shirt that was in the basket familiar.
Eva touched the shirt and lifted it.
It belonged to Miguel.
Gosh!
It still had the strong smell of alcohol from the previous night.
As the maid monitored the machine, Eva felt moved to ask a question.
"Um…. For how long have you been working here?" Eva suddenly asked and the maid glanced at Eva, surprised at the sudden question.
“I'm just curious." Eva muttered.
"A few years." The maid finally replied and Eva was surprised.
That was positive.
Her curiosity peaked even more.
"Do you have any idea why Miguel…. your boss is the way he is?" Eva queried and the maid stared at her blankly.
"I don't know Miss. I really want to finish up my work early today." The maid replied flatly and Eva knew it meant that she should leave.
Disappointed,Eva exited the room.
Well …it was back to being bored again.
♥>>> TIME SKIP
"Gosh! I miss you guys!" Eva groaned as she had a group hug with the guys.
They had just returned.
Andrew chuckled, caressing her hair.
"I missed you a lot more Eva." He said and she grinned.
Miguel alighted the stairs operating on his phone.
"Hey Mig!" Daniel hailed and he only spared the guys a short glance.
"Welcome." He mumbled and headed out.
In no time, they heard him drive out of the premises.
"Were you able to keep up with him?" Jerad asked and Eva sighed.
"I tried my best." Eva replied with a lazy shrug.
“Besides, where are my gifts?" She demanded and they pulled on surprised expressions.
"Um …. Andrew would tell you." Daniel said and rushed up the stairs with Jerad leaving a surprised Andrew alone with Eva who stood akimbo.
"I got your hoodies for you." He sighed and Eva squealed happily, hugging him so tight.
"I love you so much Andy!" She laughed and he smiled wrapping his arms around her.

A few weeks had passed on and well, life had just started smiling bright on Eva.
She now had a family she never imagined she'd ever get.
And a best friend too.

Eva and Mary were both taking a walk around the classroom building.
A student went to the large notice board and pasted something then walked away.
Almost immediately,so many students rushed to the large board.
There were about two other notice boards with the newly pasted information and lots of students swarmed all over them like bees.
"What's happening?" Eva asked curiously.
"Let's go check it out." Mary replied and they walked to one of the boards which was getting less crowded.
Mary finally had her eyes on the poster and quickly glanced through it.
A sudden gasp escaped her lips much to Eva's surprise.
"What is it Mary?" Eva asked and Mary faced Eva grinning.
"It's the amazing Miss Diamond contest! Coming up pretty soon!" Mary announced and Eva furrowed her brows.
“What's that?" She asked, confused.
"It's a fun contest between female students where they would be given quests till a standing winner is found!" Mary filled in.
"Wow." Eva muttered, staring at the poster.
"And you are just the perfect fit!" Mary grinned and Eva looked at her sharply.
"What?" Eva asked, surprised.
"Yup .. you heard me right." Mary giggled and Eva scoffed.
"No…no .no…no way. I am not contesting for that." Eva shook her head walking away as Mary followed.
"You have to Eva. I mean, you are pretty, have a nice shape, smart and popular already! What else do you need to know that you are meant to be a Miss Diamond?" Mary enthused and Eva sighed.
"I cannot compete for that position, Mary. That's final." Eva concluded and Mary rolled her eyes.
“Whatever you say." She mumbled and Eva sighed heavily.

As they ate,the guys talked about how the day went.
"Heard the Miss Diamond competition is coming up." Daniel said and Eva glanced at him.
"Yeah. It's really gonna be lit this year." Jerad said and Andrew stared at Eva for a while.
She would definitely fit for it right?
"Eva would definitely compete for it." He said and Eva looked up at him surprised.
"No .." she glared at him.
"Yeah…. that's true." Daniel supported.
"Gosh! Not you too Daniel. I don't want to." Eva groaned and they stared at her.
"And why? " Andrew queried, keeping his gaze on her which made her feel really weird.
"It's nothing. I just don't want to." Eva mumbled.
"Is it about Cassandra?" Jerad asked and Eva froze.
Maybe…
"No…it's not." Eva denied.
All these while, Miguel only ate.
He never chipped into discussions.
Never!
"Well….if you say …."
"Not competing means you are scared…scared about facing her…" Miguel suddenly spoke up and everyone turned their gazes to Miguel shocked.
Eva was the most surprised.
Miguel stared at her without even trying to blink and it creeped her out.
"You are afraid of facing Cassandra. " He said as a matter of fact and Eva shook her head slowly.
What the hell!?
"I…" Her words cracked.
"If you aren't…then you would…engage. In… the …competition." Miguel picked his words sending cold chills down Eva's spine and then faced his food eating as if he didn't just say something that literally rocked Eva’s world.
The guys were shocked to the core and Eva was speechless.
Did…did Miguel just…talk to her..?
Like….
O….M..G!!!!
*#Morning…
Eva alighted the stairs ready for school.
The guys were present at the dining area when Eva got there.
"Good morning." She greeted them and sat down as a maid began to serve her and she began eating.
"So um…." Eva voiced out and the guy's attention shifted to her.
"I would be joining the contest." Eva announced and the guys appeared surprised.
Eva glanced at Miguel if she could see any expression but he acted as if she did just make an announcement.
An announcement influenced by his input the previous night!
"Wow! That's amazing Eva!" Jerad brought her back to reality and she forced out a smile.
"I just want to be clear about me being afraid of her." Eva scoffed and Andrew glanced at Miguel while Daniel tried to stifle a chuckle.
They all knew she was indirectly talking to Miguel.
He suddenly dropped his spoon, shifted his seat backwards, got up and walked away.
Wow!
Eva bit her lower lip and lifted her fork.
LOCATION: DIAMOND HIGH
Eva and Mary walked into the elevator and some other students joined in.
They were heading to the office where they could get the form for the Miss Diamond contest.
Andrew had come earlier to her class to notify her of the fact that he and the guys had already paid for the form even before the contest began and it sorta surprised her.
So no matter what, they were going to make sure she engaged in the contest?
Wow.
They finally stepped out onto the floor with so much chilling air conditioner and walked to a french door while Eva looked around in awe.
"This place is pretty tho." She muttered and Mary smiled.
She gently pushed the door open and they both walked in.
There was a lady behind a desk attending to a student who wasn't there for the form.
Three female students were seated, probably waiting for their turns.
One glanced at Eva then rolled her eyes.
"What's her stress?" Mary scoffed and they occupied another joint seat.
"I heard the form is pretty expensive tho." Mary muttered and Eva sighed.
The door opened and they looked up to see the Crystals.
Cassandra immediately went mad on seeing Eva.
"Wow! Even church rats still want to compete." Ruby scoffed and Eva arched her brow.
Mary nudged her and whispered.
"I think they don't like you."
"I know." Eva muttered.
" It's pretty obvious.”
"Some people just want to reap where they never sowed." Cassandra sneered, eyeing Eva badly.
The other students had already noticed the tension between the Crystals and the new girl.
"Anyways….I don't care. Not like she can afford it." Cassandra scoffed and headed towards the desk.
The lady had already attended to the student and was about to call on another.
"I am here."
“Attend to me first." Cassandra ordered.
"I can't Cassandra. Miss Bieber purchased the form first and she also got here before you." The lady replied and Cassandra's eyes grew wide.
"What?" She exclaimed and Eva held Mary's hand in shock.
"Yes…what?" Another student stood up and glared at Eva.
"I have been here for minutes because of that nerd you were attending to and you are trying to say you would attend to that thing first? Who the hell is she!?" The student rasped and Eva gasped.
Wait..what!?
It was then Eva knew that they were special students.
Of course…they weren't putting on uniforms just like the Diamonds and Crystals.
Just mofti.
"You two have to relax okay? Miss Bieber, please come." The lady said calmly and Eva got off her seat and headed to the desk with the thick feeling of eyes drilling holes in her head.
Ugh!
It felt suffocating.
Cassandra brushed her shoulder against Eva's almost making her lose balance but she didn't.
As Eva sat down, Cassandra glared at her and spun around on her heels, stomping out of the room while the rest followed like loyal disciples.
The tension was still thick in the air despite them having gone.
"Why are they harsh towards you?" The lady asked and Eva shrugged.
"I wish I knew why." She sighed.
“It'd save me a lot of stress."
****
After the registration process which didn't take up to a minute,Eva and Mary headed to the cafeteria.
As they approached the building,Eva sighted Andrew and Jerad at the entrance.
"Eva!" They waved at her and she smiled at them.
"So you guys are pretty close huh?" Mary grinned and Eva chuckled nervously.
She really didn't want to give away the fact that she lived with them.
Not yet.
"Did you finally register?" Andrew asked and she nodded.
"Hey.." Jerad waved at Mary who only nodded.
"Come on,I have made an order for you upstairs." Andrew notified and Eva raised her brows.
"But…"
"Your friend can come along." Andrew chipped in.
"Actually…I need to be somewhere important." Mary quickly said and Eva faced her surprised.
"Bye bae.." Mary waved and walked away with Eva watching her quietly.
That was super odd.
"Well …shall we.?" Jerad grinned and Eva nodded going in with them.
When they arrived at the upper floor, the Crystals were already there.
There wasn't any way she could avoid them in that school right?
The rest of the day went on weird and tiring for Eva.
****
****
Eva shut her book, unable to concentrate.
Miguel was at it again.
The room right next to hers had sounds of soft piano keys filling her room walls.
It was so hard to concentrate.
It sort of made her calm but distracted.
Why was he like that?
Besides,no one except him goes in there making Eva more curious.
She got off the desk and moved to her bed laying down.
Miguel was one whole mystery package himself and Eva felt curious to know why he was that way.
But…how would she ever know when he ignores her always.
He seemed like a really tough case to crack.
Eva sighed letting the tunes fill her emotions.

#morning……
It was Friday.
Eva had gotten to school pretty early and the guys didn't come along because Andrew had said they were going to the studio.
The registration for the Miss Diamond contest was coming to an end that day.
According to what Eva heard, they would be taking only eight contestants and well she and Cassandra would be among the eight lucky contestants.
Eva knew it was going to be very tough all the way.
****
Cassandra was seated on her desk with a deep frown on.
The other Crystals were there with her as they had a private class separate from that of the Diamonds and other common students.
"Do you think those guys actually paid that registration fee for her?" Tess asked.
"What else does it seem like?" Ruby scoffed.
"I still wonder what charm that girl had placed on them. I mean, she is a nobody." Dayne sneered and they became silent watching Cassandra who was obviously angry.
"Shouldn't we teach her a lesson?" Ruby said and they glanced at her.
"What do you mean?" Cassandra asked quietly….a kind of deadly quiet.
"You have been way too lenient with that girl. You should make her know that she doesn't belong here." Ruby said and Cassandra stared at her for a while before looking away.
She was definitely getting tired of that girl especially with the fact that Miguel would be so close to her or she would be close to him without her even trying and that thought alone made her mad.
**. **. **
As Eva stepped out of the elevator,a hand pulled her to an empty classroom and the door got shut.
It all happened in a flash.
Eva was surprised to see the Crystals…all except Cassandra as they glared at her.
"What do you…."
Eva's words went back into her throat forcefully when Ruby gripped her hair from behind and she shrieked in the sudden pain, letting her books she held drop while she tried saving her hair
"Listen up rat ... .this is not your place okay? Quit trying to act like the queen you can never be." Ruby growled and pushed Eva and she staggered right before Tess set a leg for her and she fell face flat on the ground with a groan.
"Let's leave her before she infects us with her stup!dity." Ruby sneered and they all walked out leaving Eva .
She sighed sitting down and checked out her knee which got scratched somehow.
Why did they really hate her so much?
Eva batted her lashes trying to hold back in the tears that threatened to flow.
She didn't want to cry.
And she really didn't want trouble.
None at all.
Eva gathered her books off the floor and got up on her feet heading out.
The school was getting empty already as it was past closing hours.
That's why the girls were able to corner her.
As Eva approached the exit, her escort hurried to meet her with an umbrella upon sighting her.
The sun was way too hot that evening.
**
From her car, Cassandra watched as Eva was led to a jeep and it drove out of the premises soon enough.
She gripped the steering wheel tight and ignited her car engine before driving out speedily.
Anger ran in her veins than blood itself.
***
Eva walked in and met Miguel seated in the living room while operating on his phone.
He had a headset on and was slowly humming after the song.
Eva had seen all the cars belonging to the guys outside but didn't expect to see Miguel in the living room.
Andrew walked in from the kitchen side and spotted Eva at the entrance.
"Hey! Eva " he called cheerily and Eva dragged her gaze to him.
Finally…
Someone less cold.
Miguel looked up to see Eva and he rolled his eyes.
"How was today?" Andrew asked as they headed to the stairs.
"Fine…." Eva muttered after recalling how the Crystals had g@nged up against her.
"You sure don't look fine to me." Andrew said as they got to her door.
"I am okay Andy. I just need some rest. That's all." Eva said, forcing out a smile.
Andrew nodded and pulled her into a hug before walking away and Eva sighed, walking into her room.
She knew that the fact she is going to compete only meant the beginning of the girls hating on her.
So much negative attention she didn't like.
