Religion and Beliefs Roder: The Roderian people believe in the circle of life and rebirth. For them there isn’t a god (or gods), all people are equal after their death. Once they die, they proceed to the other side, beyond the veil separating all living things from the dead. The Roderian people also believe that in order for the departed souls to find their way to the other side and be reborn, they must be guided by the living - this is where the last rites come in. Anyone can read the last rites to the dead or dying as long as they have a strong belief in the spirits and desire to guide.
