Chapter 10

EZRA

I couldn't wait to surprise her, even though we are mates she still went through a lot in her life and she deserves the chance to be happy, I want to give her that. I decided to take her to a restaurant, I booked the entire place just for the two of us, then I'll take her to the beach. She is so beautiful tonight and her scent is so overwhelming, but I can't get enough. She doesn't know it yet but for me, she is my entire world, at least since I accepted that she is my mate. Her face when she saw the limo was priceless. She was happy as a kid in a candy store. The trip in the car was quiet, she was looking outside the window, but she was holding my hand... I couldn't take my eye of her.

AMBRA

I’m so excited about this date. He is giving me so many attention, and I have to keep my eyes on the window otherwise I’ll be red as a tomato, and I can feel my heart beating like crazy. We arrived in front of a huge building, that was entirely made of glass. The driver opened the door for me, I locked hands with Ezra and we walked inside. The entire place was completely empty, and there were candles everywhere, just one table in the center of the room was set for us. He booked the entire place for us, I’m feeling so lucky and treasured. When we sat at the table the waiter came and brought us a bottle of red wine and a few appetisers, everything was exquisite, then the main curse was Lasagna, and grilled veggies as a side. It was the most amazing food I have ever tasted. We talked about everything, he answered all the question I had and told me that at the next full moon we will have to be together or his wolf is going to drive him crazy, because one you find your mate, you have instincts where you need to stay close to your other half. I won’t mind having him close to me, it feels so comforting and safe being with him that it almost feels like home. What I don’t understand it is how a bond can make your whole world look like empty and without meaning, because all you crave is your mate, and he becomes your world, and it is crazy that I can feel the bond so much even though I’m human. After dinner he took me to the nearby beach, when we got there I was mesmerised. There was this white soft blanket and a few candles a bottle of champagne and two glasses. It was perfect, I felt loved and cherished. It was something I haven’t felt in a while.

AMBRA

I fell asleep in the car, I was so tired and I felt so at peace with the world that I let myself go. On our way home while I woke up because our car started to go off the road, Ezra wasn't in the car anymore, I couldn't find him, then I heard a lot of noises outside the car, and there he was fighting in his wolf form, against other two wolves, but they were smaller than him, yet something felt off, One of them shifted back to his human form and took a knife but it was made of silver, and based on my experience that could kill a wolf, I knew they would have stabbed Ezra, at that moment Ezra took out one of the wolves, but he couldn't see the other one, so I ran and put myself in between him and the other wolf. I got stabbed. In the background, I heard Ezra calling my name but I couldn't stay focused, I lost consciousness.

EZRA

We got attacked on our way back home, my angel was asleep in the car, I left her there and ran out to take care of the situation. The same smell from Ambera's attack hit my nose. I couldn't believe that those two Idiots were looking for her again. The moment I stepped outside, I shifted in my wolf and the only thing that me and Eniach wanted to do, was to tear them apart. Much to my surprise they both shifted in two wolves, but they were much smaller than me I could easily take them out. They put up a quite good fight, but I was able to take one out, when I felt an excoriating pain in my leg, but I wasn’t bleeding, then I smelled her, she must have come out of the car, but when I turned she was on the ground with a knife in her leg. I charged the other wolf and in less then a couple of seconds he was dead on the ground. I turned to Ambra, and she was bleeding. The car was crashed, I couldn’t bring her back with that. I had to run, I took her in my arms and I ran back to the pack house, luckily we weren’t that far from our house. I mindlinked the pack doctor to be ready for our arrival. When we got there I was completely covered in her blood, and she was extremely pale. The doctor took her from my arm, and took her to surgery. It took a good 3 hours. When they were done the doctor told me that she saved my life. She took the silver knife instead of me, she saved my life. She almost died to save me. She was my angel indeed.
