“How barbaric, the instructor did not even had given the signal to start and he had already started his attack. To think that he would do something underhanded like that.” Nolan mutters in pain when he saw what happened right after waking up. Prince Japeth is standing right beside the doctors old him off right after hearing what Nolan said. “What are you talking about? There is no such thing as a countdown in a real fight. It’s either you die or the enemy dies first. That’s all there is to it.” The prince responded with a calm tone as he focus his eyes on the fight.
“You- you are the one of few that only look happy when I announced the hand to hand combat. Are you that much excited?” the instructor said as he takes on a defensive stance after seeing the power that Amon showed with only a single punch. [To think that I need to use a defensive stance against a student.] he thought to himself as Amon takes the lead and threw a barrage of attacks that were ultimately blocked by the instructor.
BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!
The instructor flays Amon away again but instead of being pushed back by the instructor’s strength, Amon used his magic to conjure a wind wall that prevents him from being pushed back with a huge smile on his face. He then extends his arms and swing them towards the instructor who felt a sudden chill as he sees violent wind blades flying towards him.
FWOOOSH! FWOOOSH! FWOOOSH! FWOOOSH! PAM! PAM! PAM! PAM! PAM!
The instructor uses his own magic to defend against the wind attacks but none of the students were able to see what type of magic he used as they marvel at the sight of their intense fight. “Heh~ you were hiding that thing instructor?” Amon mutters after seeing the magic that the instructor used to defend against his attacks. “Well, I would suffer a great deal of injuries if I didn’t.” both of them look at each other with an excited expression on their faces.
“Looks like they are enjoying themselves. Are we going to have that kind of enjoyment later in our turn?” Marcus mutters astonishment on the level of ecstasy that they are in. “The young master is only showing that kind of performance since the instructor is the first one that he can fight without holding back after training with us the whole time. Of course he would be excited.” Abel added as he figures the movements of the instructor. “Instead of marveling at the fight, why don’t you use this as a source material and study his movements for your fights later. That would increase your chances yourselves.” He added.
Their intense fight continues as Amon stands his ground against the instructor far longer than anyone had anticipated that even the doctors are astonished of his performance and were able to take a rest but then something happened that tipped the balance to the instructor’s side. [If he is able to withstand 30% of my power then he should be able to withstand 50 right?] the instructor then releases 20% more of his strength that Amon immediately felt.
BAM! RUMBLE!
Amon was sent flying and hit the wall after the instructor released 20% more of his power in the exact moment as his punch landed on Amon’s arm. “Did I overdid that?” the instructor mutters as Amon walks away from the dust of cloud with b****y face and bent arm, to everyone’s surprise. Amon conjures a green ray of light and healed his slightly bent arm. [Healing magic!] is the only thing that is on everyone’s mind after seeing him heal himself. Marcus and Abel were equally surprised seeing it for the first time themselves.
“Oi! Is Amon able to do that from the beginning?” Marcus mutters in shock as Abel has no idea himself. [Heh? So that’s why he deliberately took my attack head on.] he thought when a smile appears on his face and told Amon that he is hiding something like that as well. “Well, if I did not use it I might be in trouble, thought I am not as an effective healer like Abel, I will be able to heal this much injury.” Amon justified as he takes out a sword from his void ring.
Seeing that their fight will drag on and will turn into a sword fight, the instructor also takes out a sword but not just any ordinary sword, a great sword. The sword is long as his body and as large like a tree which will need a huge amount of force just to lift a sword that huge which sent chills to the students who were thankful that they did not manage to make the instructor bring out his weapon while the others are afraid of the fact that they might be able to make the instructor bring out that monstrosity.
“That is such a huge weapon instructor.” Amon said in awe as he readies to fight the instructor with all he’s got.
FWOOOSH! CHING!
A single swing was able to shake Amon’s arms as the instructor defended against his attack using the weight of the sword and even use the floor to perfectly block Amon’s attack without suffering any injuries. [He bore a hole in the ground so that he can just place the tip of his sword to block my attacks without his body exerting too much strength. What a creative and yet efficient way of blocking.] Amon thought after a glimpse of the instructor’s block.
A single flay of the great sword is able to throw Amon away from the instructor. “I can tell that you gave your all in that attack but why do I get the feeling that you were holding back?” the instructor said as he immediately disappeared and in an instant appeared beside Amon, already swinging his great sword, having no options to block the attack, he used his arms and calculatingly use the bracers to block the attack knowing that the bracers will not be damaged easily.
CHING! BAM! SHAKE! RUMBLE!
The instructor was surprised of Amon’s decision and stares in awe that he might have overdone his test as a huge cloud of dust envelope the arena. the other students gasp in horror knowing that the instructor might have murdered a student during a test. The princess wanted to run towards the center but then was stopped by Abel. “It’s dangerous, please don’t approach them so easily. I can sense the young master’s presence-!” Abel’s words were then interrupted when he felt a sudden surge of enormous power coming from inside the dust of clouds then a figure flying straight out of the cloud and rolls on the ground, it was the instructor.
CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!
Another figure then flew straight out of the cloud as it spins and flies straight towards the instructor who manage to deflect it partially but gets swept away slightly by the force behind the spinning axe as it returns to Amon’s hand who is unscathed. “Don’t tell me, he took of the bracers?!” Marcus mutters in surprise as Abel grinds his teeth. “Now we won’t be able to approach them easily.”
“Wow, I never thought that even with my 50% of power, I will get to be pushed around by a student. Not to mention that odd weapon.” The instructor said as he goes all out and release his 100% of strength that made the air inside the whole arena vibrate, alerting everyone strong enough inside the whole academy of a sudden surge of energy and power. “Is that him? What is happening?” the headmaster mutters as he immediately stand up from his chair.
Without a single word, Amon threw his spinning axe towards the instructor as it slice through the air with a piercing sound and the instructor deflects it with his great sword but to his surprise, the spinning axe was able to chunk of a part of his great sword before it ricochets back to Amon’s hand who in his surprise is able to close the gap between them in just a matter of seconds. [This kid-] he use his word again to block Amon’s sword attack completely just as the spinning axe returns to Amon’s hand and was about to throw it again but the instructor then threw a punch and struck Amon’s chest, completely pulverizing him down to the ground.
BAM! BOOM!
Everyone was shocked of the intense fight between monsters that they all stood still even after the fight was decided, the doctors took a few moments and a few shouts from the instructor before they can treat Amon but to their surprise Abel was able to recover his senses faster and healed him immediately which left the doctors in daze and amazement in his talent. [So that’s Abel. What a terrifyingly fast healing.] the instructor thought as he looks at his poor weapon degraded into junk after the damage that Amon’s weapon brought, he turns to look at the weapon but it immediately get sucked into the ring like the sword.
A few hours later
Amon wakes up in his room in their residence after a few hours of fainting during the test that the instructor conducted and sees that most of the people he knows are waiting for him to gain consciousness. Princess Joanna who holds his hand and fell asleep while waiting for him to wake up. “You gave us a shock. I thought you died.” Prince Japeth said with a smile as he greets Amon. “What happened?” Amon ask them as Japeth answers his question. “You fainted after the instructor punched you in the chest.” Amon then remembers his memory of the situation and nods his head saying that he now remembers and ask what happened after.
Japeth told them that the rest of them were taken easy by the instructor since the headmaster came down to scold him for overdoing his test considering that he is fighting against students and might have gave everyone inside the academy a shock because of the power spike that he cause. Amon then turns his head to princess Joanna who is sleeping in the chair beside him while holding his hand.
“Well, she refuse to be replaced by others and even told us that she will be fine. So we let her even though Nana is protesting against it but Abel strangely argued that he would allow Joanna to look after you than Nana saying that no one knows what she will do to you while you are unconscious. The two of them seems to be aiming for each other’s necks for some reason.” Japeth said with a smile on his face.
“Should I wake Joanna?” he ask as Amon shakes his head. “It’s fine, she must be tired of looking after me so let’s just let her rest for now. Might as well take more rest as well. My chest feels so tight and tensed, the instructor might have actually overdid it.” Amon said with a smile as they excuse themselves and only leaves Riri, Joanna and Amon inside the room as Amon immediately falls sound asleep.
[What the heck am I going to do? I woke up right after he did and I did not move since it is embarrassing! That stupid brother! Why did he have to tell Amon everything! How should I face him from now on?!] Joanna’s conflicting emotions is about to burst when Riri tells her that its fine to stand up now that Amon is asleep. She then jolt and turns to Riri who is staring at her blankly with a bright red face. “You know I was awake?” she ask as Riri nods her head. “My sister does it all the time so I know if a person is faking sleep.” Riri’s words made Joanna even more embarrassed of what she had done.
Meanwhile
“So now tell me, why did you use 100 percent of your strength during a fight with a student?” the headmaster interrogates the instructor who is sitting on the bench touching the parts of his body after moving too much. “I don’t you already, he pushed me to do it. You know yourself that I will not use the full extent of my strength if I don’t feel threatened.” The instructor argued justifying his actions as the headmaster wound his pride.
“So a student threatened you? Are you a kid?” the instructor then stares at the headmaster like he is looking at someone that is also a kid but the headmaster did not allow his stare to last longer and slams a book on the instructor’s head.
“I’m serious Percival.”
Percival is the apprentice of the four masters that taught the four knights that brought peace to the land but they are hiding this fact from the public and only six of them are aware, Percival, the headmaster, and the four masters.
“Well, that kid is strong and perceptive. His abilities are on another level than his peers, if he is given a few more years then he can beat me in a duel. I am not going to stand idle during that time either so the outcome might be different. But during out duel when he unleashed his full strength, I thought I was fighting another knight.” He said with a serious tone as the headmaster listens to him intently. “So what she says is true.” He mutters to himself as Percival turns to him after wondering what his remark is all about.
