Chapter 1.
Bullies
I slid on my knees, my legs shaking as I fell to the ground, trying to scurry for shelter before another kick could land on my stomach. Within moments, I was lying on the ground, completely flattened, while Ava lunged at me, her vicious smirk on her face.
My lower lips shook as tears pressed at the back of my eyelids as I experienced this horrible sorrow that caused a deep fit of fire in my gut. Two of Ava's friends, Brianna and Hailey, were standing behind her with a rod that was obviously meant for me, so I pushed the big knot in my throat to go away.
My eyes glimmered with tears as I realised that this was it for me, that the iron rod would strike my sensitive skin. A sly sneer spread across Ava's lips as she shook her head in absolute contempt for me.
She tilted her head to the left and proceeded gently towards me.
"Why did you tell your teacher that we had harassed you, Avaria ?
You also told the teachers that we were putting pressure on you to finish our assignments, correct? I kneaded my fists together, biting the corner of my lower lip in pain, and called out for compassion. My eyes glimmered with tears.
"Why are you not speaking?" She smirked, and a loud noise echoed across the room as she gave a heavy slap.
I tightly held my cheeks, allowing only desperation to seep out of me as the tears that were about to fall streamed down my face. With a groan, Ava checked her wristwatch.
Do you still think we have enough time to tackle this, girls? She has got to go through all of this and be made to leave tonight with scars. She must be made to realise that she is a useless omega who must be corrected.
Eleanor kept her gum in her mouth and proceeded to blow bubbles. Eleanor and Brianna echoed, "Yes," and crossed their hands over their chests at the same time.
The sound of the rod dropping from Eleanor's hand made me grimace. A small smile formed at the corner of her mouth as she dropped to her knees in front of me and removed the gum. She took hold of my jaw, her face all over mine.
She pushed the chewing gum into my mouth that she had been chewing on the whole time. When her mission was over, she planted a soft peck on my face.
"Do not fear, trash bag; I will treat you nicely as long as you do not scream. Have you forgotten that other things do not cry, grumble, or whine the way you do? They just accept their pain as a part of who they are, which is crap.Eleanor tugged at my hair and went for the rod.
"I swear it would not hurt that much." I inhaled deeply as her grin stretched from ear to ear.
She got up, ran her hands through her brown hair, and giggled wildly at the blond Ava who stood behind her. The moment she turned to face me, her smile disappeared, and I knew that the gates of helf were about to open.
She lifted her hand, her grasp hard on the rod, and I squeezed my eyes shut, prepared for my miserable end.
The unexpected sound of phones beeping resonated throughout the empty building at the same moment as the shocking sound of the rods dropping. My phone vibrated in my pocket as well, so I opened my eyes.
"Oh my!" All three of them gasped at the same time.
"We are throwing a reunion celebration. Ava seemed pretty content "Does that imply that Beacon Hill will be reopening its classrooms? Brianna looked pale.
"I believe that. We got an invitation to the celebration as well! The excellent news has arrived. Ava smiled.
Squealing with joy and jumping into the air, they all ran out of the empty building. When they announced that the three most powerful Packs, who had been at war with one another, had united, I blinked a few times, trying to grasp what on earth they were talking about.
A groan escaped my lips as I struggled to get up straight and took deep breaths due to the pain those three cretins had caused me. They were members of one of the most powerful Packs in Rocket City.
But the pack to which they belonged, the Grey Moon pack, was not nearly as powerful as the three other packs in the city. the Night Walker Pack, Moon Shadow Pack, and Crimson Pack.An
Since I was an omega, prominent people from other packs treated me as though I belonged in the Moon Shadow Pack, which was the most powerful pack in the city.
They all kept telling me how useless I was, even the Alpha and Rosslyn who took me in only to work me to death, until the sun rose every day.
I was nothing more than a slave under their care, with the only benefits being food and other basics and the chance to attend one of the best schools in the city.
I felt like every part of me was crumbling, so I tried to take a step and wiped away my tears with the back of my palm. Just as I was taking a stride forward, my phone began to vibrate within the pocket of my sweatshirt. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket, muttered in exasperation at how badly the screen had broken, and withdrew the hair that had fallen on my face behind my ears. When I squinted to see the text message on my phone, my eyes almost exploded out of their sockets and I saw that it was a fram Jane Rosslyn, Mrs.
You moron! How are things going for you? When are you going to come home so you can prepare for the three little ones?
