"In my past life... I let you get hurt. I will never let that happen again."

Claire is used to being stepped on, looked down upon, and pushed to the edge by her own family. She thought she was destined to be a victim forever.

Until Liam Vance steps into the scene—the cold, powerful, and feared CEO who shows no mercy to anyone. But behind his icy exterior lies a heart holding a long-kept promise: to protect Claire, even if it means tearing down the entire world.

Now given a chance to make the past right, nobody is allowed to lay a hand on her. Because this time, Liam himself will stand in the way.

Episode 1: The Weight of Silence
📌 Characters: Liam Vance – A powerful CEO with a cold demeanor, hiding intense affection and fierce protectiveness for the woman he loves. Claire – A humble woman constantly mistreated by her family, believing no one is there to defend her. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grand ballroom of the Solaris Hotel glittered under the blinding glare of crystal chandeliers. Hundreds of elites in designer tuxedos and custom gowns mingled, sipping vintage champagne and exchanging polite, insincere pleasantries. In stark contrast to the opulence around her, Clara stood rigidly in the far corner, half-hidden behind a towering floral arrangement. Her fingers clutched a simple glass of sparkling water, her knuckles white with tension. She wore an off-the-rack navy dress that felt entirely out of place in a room where a single handbag cost more than her monthly living allowance. Footsteps approached, sharp and deliberate against the polished marble floor. Her step-sister, Victoria, appeared like a vision in a crimson silk gown, flanked by a group of giggling socialites. Victoria stopped directly in front of Clara, letting out a loud, theatrical sigh that drew the curious glances of nearby guests. "Look at you, hiding in the shadows like a stray cat," Victoria sneered, her voice dripping with malicious satisfaction. "Did you seriously think father brought you here to introduce you to high society? You are nothing more than an embarrassing stain on our family name, Clara. If it weren't for father dragging you along to keep up appearances, you’d still be locked away in that guest room where you belong." Clara kept her gaze fixed on her shoes, swallowing the lump in her throat. She had lived through this her entire life—the constant belittling, the deliberate isolation, the heavy burden of being treated like a domestic servant in her own home. "Father asked me to attend," Clara whispered, her voice barely audible over the ambient chatter. "I am only here because he told me to come." "And you always do as you're told, don't you? Such a pathetic little puppet," Victoria hissed, stepping closer and intentionally shoving her shoulder hard against Clara's arm. The sudden impact knocked Clara off balance. Her feet caught on the hem of her dress, sending her stumbling backward. The glass of sparkling water tilted, ready to spill a soaking wet stain all across the front of her dress while the surrounding crowd stopped to watch the humiliating spectacle unfold. Before Clara could hit the floor or the water could ruin her clothes, a large, warm hand caught her firmly by the elbow. The grip was steady, powerful, and completely unyielding, instantly anchoring her upright. Clara gasped softly, lifting her eyes. Standing right behind her was Ethan Vance. The reclusive, immensely powerful billionaire CEO stood tall, his expression carved from absolute ice. The sheer aura of authority radiating from him immediately silenced the entire corner of the ballroom. The socialites who had been laughing a second earlier turned pale with sheer terror, stepping backward as Ethan slowly stepped forward to shield Clara from their view. Victoria: (Whispering viciously) "You don't belong here, Claire. You never did." (The sudden push catches Claire off balance. Her feet catch on the edge of her dress, sending her stumbling backward as her glass tilts, on the verge of spilling liquid all over her front while the crowd turns to watch the spectacle...)
