Ch-4 The new Tutor

Rest of the day in school went on smoothly. School was over at 1530 hours. Me and my brother marched outside the school and found the driver already waiting for us. When we sat in the car, then Atharv saw my bruised palm and he was so tensed after that.
"How did this happen kia?" He asked sternly.
"Oh! Don't worry bro. I'm fine"
"This is not the answer to my question. I asked what you did to earn this. I already warned you in the morning."
"Umm... actually BigB (I do not call Atharv by name since he is elder than me. I call him BigB)"
"Speak up Kiara. What's wrong with you? I can't see you in this state. It hurts me more than you. Please tell me. I'm losing my patience."
Then I narrated him the whole story what happened with me in the 2nd period.
"Oh God! How can you be so irresponsible kiara. You didn't even bother to listen teacher's instructions carefully"
"I'm sorry bhaiya."
"Fine. Now tell me how will you complete this project in this condition? It will hurt."
"Its OK BigB. I'll manage."
"No kia. You are my lilbil. I'll help you in your work today. I don't have much of homework so I can give you some of my time."
"No bro. I'll manage. If Mr Pankaj gets to know that you helped me then...!"
"Don't worry sweetheart. Nobody will find it out. Be cool" He tried to calm me.
After a 20 minutes ride, we finally reached home. I was so much exhausted that I decided to take a nap for 2 hours so that I can work late night for the maths project.
Then Atharv came to my room and I told him that I was taking a nap so he can do his work by then. After that he can help me.
He agreed and went to his room.

My alarm clock ringed after 2 hours and I woke up immediately realising that its 1800hrs already.
Me and Atharv worked on the project thing and completed it by 2100hrs. After that we decided to go to the lawn and play Badminton there until father comes.
"Cool! Let's go" I shouted with amusement.
We roughly played for an hour and saw dad's car coming in the parking lot.
Wait... It's not only dad.
"Bro I see one more man sitting in the car. I've never seen him before. Who's he?"
"I too don't know. Let's go inside. We'll find out"
We then went to our room.

"Kiara... Atharv... Both of you come here" Dad called us in the hall.
"Yeah Dad. What's up?"
"Ah! Hi... I mean Good Evening Uncle" I said in a cheerful tone.
"Good Evening kiddo."
"I'm Kiara. Nice meeting you."
"Hmm..." The still unknown man nodded.
Atharv too joined us by then.
"Good evening Uncle...Umm... I'm sorry I've never seen you before."
"Atharv give him a chance to introduce himself." Dad said.
"Well I'm Sanjeev. Sanjeev Khanna..." "And I'm you tutor."(The picture above is of him.)
My eyes went wide when I heard the name tutor.
Finally Dad spoke "Kids as he has already introduced himself, so I don't need to tell his name. But let me tell you that he'll be tutoring both of you- Atharv he's your permanent tutor and kiara you will be under him for the next 15 days. Actually I've arranged a separate tutor for you but right now he's busy with some other work. He can join us after that. So till then Mr Khanna will supervise both of you."
"Dad but-" Atharv interrupted.
"No Buts- Atharv. This is final. Your mom is not here. And I am also very busy with my work nowadays. And I can't leave you without any supervision. Mr Khanna will be in control for both of you. You need to work according to him otherwise there will be consequences."
"Mr Khanna you can handle them in your way. Its upto you how you teach them and if you wanna punish them or not. All I want is just the results."
"Yeah... Mr Agnihotri. I'll not let you down."
"Thanks Mr Khanna. Please join us to the dinner."
"Sure."

After the dinner I went back to my room and started preparing for the tests since there was only a week left for my unit tests to begin and dad wouldn't be pleased to hear if I got bad grades.
I kept on studying since I kinda enjoyed the subject and lost the track of time. It was 2:00 in the morning when I finished and my eyes went wide open after seeing the time.
Great. Now I just have two and a half hours to sleep since Dad takes me and Atharv for jogging and morning workouts at 04:30 am. So we are required to sleep by 10:30pm so that we have a good 6 hours sleep.
I went to sleep and let my bed consume me.

Atharv's pov
After dinner I went to my room and Mr Khanna followed me.
"Oh! Mr Khanna, I can show you around the house. Come along me." I said in an annoyed tone.
"That's SIR to you instead of Mr Khanna. And I warn you to drop the attitude otherwise you won't like the consequences." He warned.
"Sorry sir."
"Fine. Now let's go to your room and show me your today's homework."
"Yes sir."

"What is this Atharv? You haven't completed your homework" He yelled at me
"I'm sorry sir. I really didn't get enough time to complete all of it." I explained
"Oh really! Don't lie to me. If I'm not wrong then you were playing with your sister when I came."
"Oh you noticed." I murmured.
"Did you say anything?"
"Umm... no sir. Not at all"
"Now care to explain what task took your precious time that you didn't even get time to finish your homework? And don't you dare lie to me!" He said sternly.
I was actually going to lie but seeing the stern look on his face, I decided not to do so.
"Sir actually school gets over at 1530 hrs and we reached home by 1600 hrs. Kiara wanted to take a short sleep for 2 hours and I studied till 1800 hrs in which I could complete just my physics and english work. Then I went to kia's room and helped her with her project which we managed to finish by 2100hrs. She needed my help, but at the same time she also did not want to disturb me from my work. So, I just told her that I already completed my work. Then she offered to play badminton and I couldn't decline it since I had lied to her 'bout my homework and Dad too told that he will be home by 2200hrs today. The rest you know."
"Hmm... But I wonder how Kiara can get so much work that she needed your help and you both take 3 hrs to complete it."
"Sir, you might not have noticed that she was struggling to use her right hand to eat food."
"Yeah, I noticed but then thought she might be a leftie. Btw what happened to her?" He asked with concern in his eyes.
I then told him the whole story and he nodded.

"Fine now I suggest you to start on your homework. And you better finish it by morning. I will check it... I'll talk to kiara in the morning."
"Yes.Sir"

I started to feel sleepy at 2330 hrs since I was already exhausted from today's football practice with Mr K. But I had to complete my work. So I went out to wash my face and have some water. As I passed by kia's room I was surprised to see that lights of her room were still on. I wondered what she might be doing up so late. But then thought that she might have left these on by mistake. So I let it go and hurried to my room.

I finished my work at 1 in the morning. And then went to sleep.
