“It all started that hot afternoon, when you sent a maid to get you a drink. I sent you her out of the kitchen and poisoned your drink. Unfortunately, you never took it because you hit the stool that the drink was kept. That should have stopped me but I couldn't and then you caught me” she explained dejectedly.
He couldn't explain how he felt but his emotions were mixed with rage and sadness. He was angry because she had the guts to kill him, the sadness that followed was that she had betrayed him again. He didn't say anything to her anymore. He sent for the guard who came quickly into the room.
She was still on her robe when Ryan ordered them to lock her up in the dungeon without food and water until further notice. Vanessa didn't expect that from him, why couldn't he let her go.
