Vanessa was scared. Her heart raced in her chest. They had removed the cloth they shoved into her mouth already, since they had moved her into the den where no one in the tavern could hear her scream.
Why did she believe that this man would be of help to her? She regretted her decision and wished that she had left together with Zoey.
Would Zoey come back to save her? Who would save her now? Only Zoey and Enola knew that she had come to the tavern. However she was sure Zoey was already practicing and by the time she'd sense any evil, these men would have taken away her treasure.
