Vanessa stirred on the bed. She had just woken up from her deep slumber. It was almost dark. She turned to her side and stared outside through the open window.
Her mind wandered back to what she had been thinking of before she slept off. How would she beg Levi not to tell the Alpha about the key? She thought hard about it. Nothing occured to her.
She yanked away the bed cover from her body and stood up immediately. She couldn't sit down and do nothing. If he got a hold of the key, she couldn't trust them. She had trusted the Kev the bartender and it had landed her in a bad situation just as this.
She walked to the sofa and picked up her shawl. Then she swung it around her and walked to the door. She opened it and poked her head outside to confirm if anyone was there.
