Chapter Five CLAY It’s weird to sit next to my mum in the car, to have her drive me. But if I’m taking Wes’ car with me, I can’t drive myself. And with so many kids and people to get places, we’re going to need an extra car. Luckily, convincing Mum that we’re taking Wes as a little gift to him, as a celebration of him just having given birth, wasn’t hard. I feel like it should have been harder, but we’re able to take Wes with us without raising any suspicion, so that’s good.
