AIDEN
By Tuesday, my heat has finally subsided enough that I can get out of the house again. Or, at least, can get out of the house in relative safety.
I pack Seb’s bag as I sway him in my arms. It’s only been a few days, but I’m totally ready to leave the house again, totally ready to go do things, even if those things are visiting the farmers market and having to face my family…
My family who aren’t aware yet that Hailey has left, or that I’m now the only one taking care of Seb.
“Oh, baby boy. We’re going to have to make sure that everything goes well today. There’s no need to make the grandparents worry, right?”
Seb just looks up at me, apparently happy about me talking to him because he lets out a happy sound. I’m not sure what else I expected from him…
