Chapter Seven
CLAY
I look up as someone calls out for Aiden, a boy who looks very similar to him, so probably one of his siblings. But as they talk, they seem more and more frustrated with each other. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on, but the boy suddenly walks off and when Aiden tries to stop him, Seb starts crying.
That’s not right.
I walk over to Aiden, trying to see if I can help him, but if anything, Aiden just looks frustrated in the direction of his younger brother. “What happened?” I put my hand on his arm and he looks up at me, his eyes softening.
“Sibling stuff. Your family’s not the only one that’s messed up.” He shrugs a little, then he seems to push everything aside. “Did you see anything interesting at Sterling’s stall?”
