Forty-Two EASTER MONDAY, WE’RE once again standing in the foyer of the Archbishop’s residence. His housekeeper asked us to wait here, assuring us that His Eminence would be along shortly. We walk around, looking at the portraits of previous Archbishops of Baltimore, many of them Cardinals owing to the Archdiocese’s historic role as the first one established in the United States. If the rumors are true, Archbishop Knowland should be receiving a red cap from His Holiness in the next couple of years.
