Reign was hiding something, and in my gut, I knew I was something bad. She told me everything. Even if it didn't matter. Even if I didn't want to hear it. So what was so terrible she wouldn't say it out loud?
The paranoid part of me worried she was figuring out what Murin had built around her. That she was losing trust in me. What bothered me most was that I was more worried about the trust I might have lost than my life which was on the line if she ever found out my role in everything.
