Chapter Six
Chad was used to fighting, but it’d admittedly been a while since he got into one outside any rings. His face f*****g hurt like hell and his ribs were likely bruised, but he managed to pin the other man to the ground long enough for the police to show up.
The second they did, he stood and put his hands up, knowing full well what it was going to look like. Sure enough, they yelled at him, guns drawn, to put his hands on the car.
Unfortunately, it was Kendall’s car, which meant she was now watching this humiliation. He felt her eyes on him as he looked down at her trunk.
Her presence tonight had been unexpected, but he’d known she was there the moment she walked in. He felt her long before he saw her, and it had damn near cost him the round.
