Chapter Eight The gym had opened back up Thursday morning, and Chad had been here all day, prepping for his fight tonight. This fight was going to take all he had. Last time he’d won, but barely, and really only because Jimmy was already injured. This was a weight class he’d only barely made it into, and Jimmy was easily at the top end, if not already in the next. Jimmy was sizable, and while most of the time, that didn’t bother Chad, he knew what his own skills were. An octagon had been set up in the basement of the gym for these fights. It was mostly his doing financially, but he enjoyed having the opportunity to be the home fighter. The octagon would also give him a place to train without having to modify the boxing ring, and since no one else here was doing mixed-martial-arts-style
