Kendall skipped the next fight. She was tired of fighting with Chad, so she had focused on an article about her dad and another about Hugh.
It was enough to pacify her boss for now. Robert had made it clear that she wasn’t off the hook on an article about Chad but had relented over the fact that her work was good enough to hold off on it for now.
Those two articles came with photos and would be featured in Saturday’s sports section. It was a big deal, and she wasn’t taking it lightly, but she knew she’d have to come up with something better to keep Robert at bay.
