Chapter Seventeen
Chad was nervous as he took his time getting ready after the fight. He even showered in the locker room, something he never did, preferring his own shower to a shared one.
He hadn’t seen Kendall in a week, and as soon as Rich said she was there tonight, he had slipped out to talk to her. It had been a long week, and he still wasn’t sure this was the best decision, but he was going for it anyway.
His image consultant hadn’t been happy with the idea of the article overall but said it wouldn’t hurt. She had then let him know that her job with him was finished. He had rolled his eyes, agreed with her, and had sent her final payment yesterday.
