She stood beside River. She stood beside River. Blonde and slim. Lana is a b***h. She's the second person that Barbara wants to kill.
She chuckled, shamelessly stroking his shaft, causing him to hiss. Barbara gagged in disgust when his c**k jerked in her hand.
She glanced at Barbara and postulated, "A little head hurts anybody."
She kneeled, sneering when the stiff shaft pointed to her face. Barbara closed her eyes when she licked his cockhead. They are more loathsome to her than the tiger shifter. Barbara cursed under her breath. They are irreversible but worse than the last time she saw them. Barbara felt the cold shiver run through her body in a way that compelled her.
She could sense it with her eyes closed as if a skunk had spread its stinky smell all over her sensitive nose. River ogled her like a piece of candy, visualizing her stroking him. Making him c*m like a pathetic, needy asshole.
Lana giggled seductively as she wiped the clumsiness off her chin. She pulled up her skintight black skirt to reveal her toned thighs. Barbara scowled and crossed her legs immovably. She felt her entire body quake, yet she remained strong. Years passed before she could control her emotions and suppress those terrible sentiments. The rage in her heart is so intense that it threatens to suffocate her.
River hurriedly fastened his belt. He stupidly grins, proud to c*m like a horse. i***t! Lycus can do better than that. A glance from him will make every female wet their underwear.
In the past, Barbara had to fake an orgasm inevitably. Luckily, she sees his true colors before the bell rings. They were like water and fire- opposing each other. She hates illegal experiments. A knowledge used for evil purposes. She was proud to make the right choice by refusing his invitation to join them. They were involved in a dark organization hidden from society. The experts tried to ruin the world with their brilliant brains. They were undetectable, successfully hiding from the government.
Sadly, she was caged in a secret laboratory, undergoing illegal projects. It used to be a good place. A place where the test subjects volunteered and were not humiliated. A place she felt glad to spend every lifetime to save humanity. Now, it was hell. This place tortured her and other subjects. This stupid group of scientists thinks that they can conquer the world. But, all they did never done was destroy it.
Barbara gritted her teeth. She had to take a deep breath to mask her emotion and calm her speed-up heartbeats. The thought of being locked like a hopeless animal made her feel panicked. The scent of woods and soil hit her sensitive nose on that occasion. It was a scent that made her calm and hang tough. It was silly to think that a massive monster, her most beloved test subject, needed her help. She had the exigency deep in her heart that she was eager to fulfill.
She needs to keep up an escape plan for him. Free from this place. That is her new purpose. Her lips twitched at the new determination. She is a different person now, not the dullsville, naive scientist she'd once been.
Barbara grabbed what she left out, the self-confidence, and gathered it around herself like a cloak, holding it close. There had been a time when she could have faced a crowd and spoken to them without breaking a sweat. Instead, her cold and steady voice escaped from her lips in purpose as Barbara looked up at them. Her hands were tight on the iron chair, but she was still strong. A few kicks from her will knock them out. Yup, she was barely human- a predator observing her prey. "What do you want?"
Lana curled her hair around her fingers, but those long black nails never defeated her claws. Barbara tilted her head, peering at them with her sharp eyes. River shivers when she smiles at them, letting her canines intimidate them. But, it was unaffected by Lana. Those red lips curved upward. Barbara knew that kind of smile. It was as if they were inside her lab again. The day she knew she would never be normal again. At that time, Lana became the first volunteer to experiment on her.
Barbara's heart squeezed hard, flooding her body with adrenaline. Survival instincts kicked in. She went still, hoping that she was wrong, but it was a faint hope. Lana's smile widened as she spoke, "As thoughtfully as ever..." then, she added, "You know what we want."
River pulled a chair a few feet from her and sat with Lana on his lap. Her voice came out in boredom yet determination. "Do it, and we will fulfill your wishes, this time, we have approval from them."
A hologram appeared from her bracelet, "They will let you go to any place you want. Away from here. Freedom, just like you craved for."
Those words left her cold and sent her to totter back into the lab where she retained. The mad scientists who'd tortured her treated her like a thing- a trough from which they ripped open and poked different things with no more concern for her. Barbara sucked in a long, deep breath and focused on their deal. "What will make you think that I-"
Lana lifted her palm, taking a paper from River's hand. "Maybe this will change your mind."
Barbara narrowed her eyes, gazing at the papers. She said nothing, but Lana's eyes glittered as if she had won, "A prove-"
Barbara pulled in a breath for courage. "-I will do it, but with some conditions."
Lana lifted a skeptical brow, "Your condition is freedom."
" Supplies for the shifters; twice a day, and I also need my old lab. It may take a few days or a month" Anger and worrisome spiked through her, making her tone sharp.
She watched and waited for Lana to speak. Her lips pressed into a tiny line. Her face no longer held her proud smile. Instead, her words came out through clenched teeth, "Fine."
"But, remember to do your work perfectly. If you dare to trick us-" Lana said, rising to her feet. "The deal will be terminated, and you..."
Bleak, violent memories threatened to steal her breath. Fear crushed her lungs. Barbara's vision dimmed, and she almost swayed in her seat. All those tortured. She'd rather die than encounter it. It took Barbara a moment to beat those memories back, and the effort left her trembling and weak. She'd come a long way over the past few years, but she had a long way to go to get back to the woman she'd once been. Perhaps, never. However, if she didn't stand on her own two feet now, Barbara feared she would never be herself again- that she'd end up cowering away inside that dark cell for the rest of her pitiful life.
"Now, here are the rules-" Lana continued.

Usually, when Lycus is furious with someone, he will put the conversation behind him and let it go. He didn't care enough about carrying around people's baggage. But when it involved that little doctor, he had difficulty ignoring it. He couldn't get Dr. Barbara out of his head. She lingered there, in the back of his mind, like a puzzle left unsolved. His monster- the dark, enraged beast that lurked within him, always threatening to break free and kill- had perked up, its ears twitching with interest.
He was to knock her unconscious, then take her hostage to his lair, far from here. But, on the contrary, he should exact vengeance. Make her pay for what she did to him. As bad as it was, she had left him. The instant he saw her, though, he knew it was her. Her intense presence, her fragrance, her gaze made his thoughts hazy. As a response, he became frustrated with himself. It was unforgiving for his unacceptable action. Killing the tiger shifter could ruin everything he planned.
He was supposed to wait and ensure the shifters were fitted. But, now, the plan has changed. A deep, resonant vibration seeped into the coldest parts of him. His hand still tingled, and the agony was pounding through his body, which had eased slightly upon exposure to her- had now returned with a vengeance.
He was used to pain. It was part of his life. He accepted it the way he did his skin, but he noticed it more since meeting her. Dr. Barbara could affect him when no one else could. Not that it mattered. She couldn't save him. He was confined inside his demon. Yet there she was, haunting a small corner of his mind with the memory of how warm she'd been, how delicate her flesh felt under his fingers. Something had been there when he'd touched her- some subtle change inside of him. He couldn't tell what it was, and even if he could, it wouldn't have made any difference. He was damned. The beast wants to get out. No one knew of his dangerous state but him.
Lycus lifted his dark head in expectancy as Carlos entered the dark place. The room was silent except for the six shifters moaning in pain. The dark walls, cold floor, and bars were designed to make the room unwelcoming. There was no happiness here. No hope. Carlos's deep voice was gravelly, as if from a prolonged silence, "You shouldn't take the risk."
Lycus kept his expression neutral, hoping the other man would take it for some form of ignorance. He couldn't let Carlos know his secret until he was sure his instincts were telling him. "How're the females?"
Carlos was a taller man but smaller than him. However, years of battle had hardened his body and etched themselves into his very skin. Small scars dotted the backs of his arms and a few places on his abdomen. Muscles bunched under his uniform as he shifted to face Lycus. "We managed to take them away without their knowledge, especially the pregnant females."
Lycus nodded quickly before closing his eyes as if dismissing the man. He waited for Carlos to walk away, but the man stood there, watching him with his sharp gaze. "They offer her freedom if she agrees to make the serum for them. We cannot wait anymore. The sooner we-"
Lycus glanced up, meeting his gaze for the first time since he'd entered the room. There was emptiness and aggression in his calcite eyes. But, his fists tightened as he fought back the blood lust. His hand ached to draw blood. Carlos knew not to dare him. He was a man with fewer words and more action. There was a long silence before Lycus finally exclaimed, "Soon, my friend. We waited first. When the time comes-"
A sadist smile twitched upon his lips, showing his sharp canines. "-We strike."
Carlos swallowed hard, and his big body shook with fear for the man behind the bar and thrilled for more action. "As you wish."
It was clear that Lycus was feeling something. The beast's eyes were staring right back at him. It has a violent agenda. There was no denying the evidence. Over the previous month, he had become darker and quieter. What he was wearing had altered. So he formed his customs. He stopped going out to dinner with others. He sat by himself, oblivious to the other guys who had volunteered to join him. All indications indicated that his beast was on the edge of escaping, and his time was running out. He was keeping his distance, trying to protect his brothers from harm. All of this was old hat to Carlos. The unfortunate female scientist had succeeded in distracting the monster. It is trying to get her attention.
Carlos sighed long, resignedly, "I'll come back in a few days."
Lycus nodded, letting the matter drop. A slow, feral rage expanded beneath his ribs at the thought of the little doctor being tormented. Hours passed, and yet she didn't come back. The monster inside of him rumbled in warning, rattling the bars of its cage as if testing for weakness. Lycus tightened his control over the beast and pushed thoughts of her injury aside before he lost control. The sound of footsteps stirred him from his meditation. A low growl slipped from his lips when the door opened. The guards approached with a portion of food- real food for humans, not for pigs. He lifted an eyelid to observe the guards. None has noticed that the number of subjects had decreased drastically.
The scent of fresh bread hit his nose, making his stomach rumble in hunger. The guard hesitated but hurriedly put the food nearer the bars before locking it. His lips twitched before he let out a back laugh. "That's right, guard. Watch your steps before the beast strikes."
The guards mumbled in disgust, but he could smell their fear. It was like perfume around the smelly room. Lycus watched them walk out of the room while trembling in fear before he finally stood to take his food. He hasn't eaten since he was confined behind the bar. The delicious thing that he had tasted since being here was his little doctor. She was addicted. The thought of tasting her creamy p***y made his shaft harden painfully.
The sensation was unlike anything he'd ever experienced, her essence warming, tingling, pinching, a creamy juice lingering inside his mouth. It was too much, too good. He let out a groan and closed his eyes. The sight of her lush curves pressed against his body, her breathing level and deep. Yet her mouth continued to move, letting that tiny tongue soak her lips. He shook his head. The scent of the fresh bread brings him back to reality.
He softened his grip on the fragile bread before biting on it. A sweet flavor hits his taste buds, making his stomach rumble again. This time he pushed away those dark thoughts and ate in silence. His eyes lingered on the closed door across the room. Waiting. Once again, he was waiting for her. "Soon..."
