INCIDENT REPORT
The old building of the Policia Local or Madrid Police Station stood out in the busy street, accentuated by its sign and the police car stationed in front. Daniela heaved as she stepped inside with Rafael. The smells of sweat and aftershave permeated the cramped room. A crying child ran rampant, and a policeman raised his voice at a citizen. The queue in front of the desk led almost out the door.
Daniela turned to Rafael with a shake of her head, her shoulders deflating and her mood dim. Was this even worth it when the line was this long?
