Chapter 6 BUSINESS LOSS Daniela’s ballet school in Madrid was only fifteen kilometres from her house. It was a small one-storey studio in an old, grey building she owned that had once been a house. Under the roof line, a row of small, timber-framed windows let in the light. Above the glass front doors hung a sign displaying the name of the school: Asombrar La Escuele De Baile, flanked by silhouettes of ballet poses. Across the road was a shopping strip with restaurants and cafes. A clothing boutique and shoe store stood on either side of her school, helping make it more visible within the community.
