Chapter 10 THE FUNERAL Daniela wiped away her tears as she sat in the front pew, listening to the priest deliver his sermon about her father: Abel, who was a kind family man who contributed to the community, but made mistakes along the way. It seemed strange to put embezzlement down as a mistake, but he couldn’t say otherwise in church. Daniela sat between her mother and sister, with Blanca, Carlos, and Kim behind them.
