“Dad! You didn't. I know you didn't. He should be here by now if you really gave him the job,” Cassie replied as she looked at her father angrily. The man sighed and brought out a file to show her proof, “See this, I instructed them to give him the job. So you should go to that department to inquire about his whereabouts. I'm a really busy man and you are currently disturbing me.” Cassie checked the file and closed it. Then she thanked her father and walked out, heading straight to the department. If he has already given the permission for Jack to resume work, then why hasn't he resumed yet? ********* “Good morning sir,” Jack greeted the manager with his signature smile. The one that shows how he currently feels. The man looked at him and chuckled softly before replying,“Morning. Oh! I see you came early today. I'm glad to know that you followed my advice.” Jack only smiled back in return not saying anything. He walked over to the online order list and his jaw slackened in suprise when he saw the first order. Sixty pieces! Sixty pieces of pizza! How the heck will he deliver that with a bike? He looked at the order, then at the manager while wondering what to do. If he refuse the job, he will probably lose a huge amount of tip that could go a long way in his life right.. Even the restaurant will suffer a loss. But he can't possibly deliver all the pizza with a bike. Something is bound to go wrong. He finally decided and tore off the order list from the paper before going to the manager. “Sir, I don't know what to do. Should I refuse the job?,” he asked and the manager stared at the paper with his eyes widened in amazement. This is the first time someone is placing such a huge order. His throat bobble up and down as he calculated the amount of money the pizza sale will amount to. He has completely forgotten what Jack just asked him. Well when money is involved, you can forget even your name. “No... No, you can't refuse this. This is alot of money. I can't let this opportunity pass by,” the manager answered. “But sir, I can't drive and I seriously don't see how that bike will be able to deliver this huge amount of pizza,” Jack reminded him but the manager adamantly refused to listen. “There must be a way to squeeze the boxes into the bike compartment. This address isn't even far from here,” the manager told him. But Jack already has bad feeling about. What is something goes wrong? He will be the one to take the blame. “Sir, this is too risky for me to do. I can't do this...,” Jack tried to say but the manager looked at him coldly. “Am I the boss here or you are the one?,” he asked immediately silencing Jack's complaints. ' I can't bear to lose this job now. I just have to do this if I want to pay Mike,' Jack thought and sighed before picking up his helmet. The manager summoned some of the restaurant staffs to assist him in packing the pizza boxes. After so much difficulty and time, they were finally able to arrange the boxes in the bike's compartment even though the lid isn't closing due to the load. Jack stared at the compartment and watched the guy who was trying to tie a thick rope around it to balance the boxes so they won't fall on the way. He said silent prayer to himself, hoping the delivery goes well and nothing happens. When Jack got to the address, he was suprised to meet a house instead of a restaurant. He actually thought it was a small restaurant that ordered the pizza for sale. He walked to the door and knocked. Soon the door opened and a hefty looking man came out. Jack subconsciously moved backwards as he felt intimidated by the overpowering stature of the man. “Yes, who are you? Why are you here? And what or who are you looking for?,” the man threw the questions at him not giving him a breathing space. “Sir, is this crescent avenue. Sorry, number eight, crescent avenue?,” Jack asked and the man glared at him. “Can't you read the signpost? Why asking this foolish question?,” the man replied. Jack looked at how his hands rolled into fists like he wants to crush something and he gulped for fear as he cursed the crazy manager for making him go through all this. “I'm sorry sir. I just wanted to make sure...,” the man interrupted him again. “Just say why you've come here. I seriously don't need this story you are telling me,” he told Jack. “I'm here with your order of sixty pizza boxes. Please hand over the payment and sign here,” Jack said as he brought out a book. The man's eyes shone as he heard the word 'pizza' but the light in his eyes dimmed as he heard Jack asking him for cash. He sighed inwardly. That crazy little brother of his must have played a prank order on the restaurant. He looked at Jack's bike and saw the pizza boxes peeking out. Well since the stuff is already here, he will just play along and get the pizza. Easy peasy. “Why do I have to sign to get my pizza? Go and bring those pizza boxes into my house right now!,” he shouted. Jack was just about to say something when the man's hard glare made him swallow his words. Well customers are always right according to his manager. So he dropped the book and begin to take the pizza boxes in one after the other. The man stared at him in amusement. 'This guy is such a fool. He followed my order without even arguing,' he thought as he stared at Jack.Jack carried in the boxes with great difficulty. As soon as he finished, he wiped off the sweat on his brow and turned to the scary looking man. “
