Chapter thirty-three “Jane! Jane, wait for me! Where are you rushing to?,” Elena shouted as she ran after Jane who is refusing to slow down at all. She is just pacing forward like she is being chased by someone. Elena got to her and quickly held her hands to stop her from running away to wherever she is running to. “Jane, I'm sure Master Alan is just mistaken. I'm sure he didn't mean all he said. I'm sure...,” she couldn't finish cause Jane interrupted her. “Just stop it! Just stop it okay!? Why are you making up excuses for him!? He has already judged me so no need to make up stupid excuses for him,” she retorted. “Jane, just calm down. I'm sure there is a mistake somewhere. He mentioned a video. Do you remember he was talking about you sending a video to Miss Cherry? You don't even know Miss Cherry so why would you send a video to her?,” she asked herself. Jane just looked at her not saying anything. Cause with how angry she is, she might just say things she doesn't mean. “Jane, I think someone is trying to frame you. I know Master Alan very well. He might act cold and arrogant but he wouldn't abuse a lady like that without a valid reason. I have even heard rumors that he doesn't want to marry Miss Cherry but he is still with her cause he can't bear to see her lose her reputation,” Elena whispered. Jane looked at her. That last statement doesn't concern her. He can marry whoever he wants but what he did today will never be forgotten or forgiven. But come to think of it, is someone really trying to frame her? Which video was Alan talking about? She suddenly remembered all what he said in the room and then she immediately felt the immense anger again. How could he even think of her like that? She had the choice to call the cops and report him of molesting her but she didn't just because of the kind Madam Jennie and because he apologized. She just turned around to leave and this time Elena didn't stop her. She only watched her leave as she sighed. She knows that no matter what she says, Jane is too angry to listen so she will just tell her later. Jane walked into the sitting room angrily. She looked around not knowing what to do. So she decided that she would go to the beautiful garden outside instead. As she was about to touch the door knob, someone suddenly opened the door and they almost bumped into each other but luckily they didn't. Jane looked up and a silent gasp escaped her lips as she observed the beauty in front of her. She couldn't help but wonder who the beautiful lady is. Cheery frowned as she looked at the girl that had almost bumped into her. Who is this? How come a girl this beautiful is staying in this house? The same house with her Alan. She looked at the girl and her frown deepened when she saw the cheap cloth she is wearing. She is probably one of those girls Madam Jennie always pick up from slums. Cherry shook her head inwardly. Sometimes she just couldn't understand her future mother in-law. Why can't she just start an orphanage instead of turning her house to a mini orphanage? At first she had been worried that one of the girls or some of them might have weird thoughts towards Alan. But later when she saw Alan lackadaisical attitude towards them, her mind was at rest. But this girl doesn't look familiar meaning she is new here. She just couldn't help but get envious. The girl just looks naturally beautiful without any makeup on unlike her that has use alot of beauty care products and makeup to look beautiful. “Are you blind!? Can't you watch where you are going?,” Cherry asked rudely as she stepped into the house. Jane swallowed the words she wanted to say before she heard the way the lady spoke. So she's just beautiful but have no manners. But she quickly bowed and apologized,“Ma, I'm sorry. I was watching where I was going. I just didn't expect anyone else.” Who knows? She might be one of Madam Jennie's guests so it's better to treat her politely. “Are you trying to tell me that I'm the blind one here?,” Cherry asked, completely ignoring Jane's apology. Jane quickly look up and shook her head sideways. “No ma, that is not what I'm trying to say. I never said you were blind. I was only...,” she couldn't finish her words cause Cherry slapped her. Jane held her throbbing cheeks in pain. What the f**k just happened!? Why did she slap her? “Next time, learn how to respect people like me. We are not in the same caliber,” Cherry said smugly. “What is going on here?,” Alan asked as he walked into the sitting room. He stared at Jane who had one hand on her cheeks and tears brimming in her eyes. Then he looked at Cherry who was already fidgety. ******** “Ella, why did you come home so late today? It's already past six. Where have you been?,” Jack asked as soon as Ella walked in. He was so worried when she didn't come back from college like she used to. Many horrible scenarios has been running through his mind. One time he thought of the possibility that... That perhaps Mike sent his men to abduct her but then he shook that thought out of his head. He still have some days left till month end so Mike won't act so rashly. “Brother, I got the part time job that I mentioned. I'm working as a cashier for a small mall,” she said as she collapsed on the chair tiredly. Jack froze as soon as he heard her words. She got a part time job so easily when he has been searching for one for like forever. He didn't know what to say cause he was utterly speechless at her words. “The pay isn't that much but hopefully we would be able to save out of it and pay the man whenever he comes for his money,” she continued. Jack just stared into space like a fool not knowing what to do.
