June 28, 1937 ~ Dr. Steven’s Journal ~ The Pool. Paul was huffing by the time he pulled me to the surface and he is a big man. There were several more people gathered today. It’s humbling being towed out of the water, spitting and gagging, throwing up at their feet. They came for a show and they’re getting one—might not be what they expected. Word must have gotten out about the strange phenomenon. Even little Ralph is doing tests alongside mine. Doesn’t make sense to him, either.
