Chapter 8

L.J couldn't move a muscle, not matter how badly she wanted to. She kept her eyes wide open, praying that she didn't sneeze right at that moment and ruin everything. All her focus went to keeping her face still and her eyes as big as saucers. There was currently a girl in front of L.J doing her eyeliner and mascara. Cam called one of his…conquests and asked her if she could help out a friend of his, and much to her dismay L.J wasn't a guy like she thought she would be. She was cold towards L.J at first but then she started to warm up to her, when she saw that she wasn't a threat to her, and that L.J wasn't standing in her way to Cam. Obviously, the girl really like Cameron, but he didn't believe in settling for one girl, and dating. The whole idea made Cam want to run away to Iceland, and never come back. The girl stepped back and set down her black pencil, raising her hands to signal that she was done. "There you go" She says and L.J stands up and slowly turns around to look in the mirror and she gasped softly, her eyes widening slightly. Her blue eyes seemed to pop more with the defined black lines underneath them. Her lashes seemed softer and more vibrant than before, and she only noticed now how long they were. She looked at her eyes for a second longer and then she turned back to Willow, the girl that Cameron called. "Thank you so much" L.J says and Willow nods at her, giving her a sweet smile. "No problem, and if you ever need help again just call me and I can teach you a bit more" Willow says and L.J returns her smile, and suddenly Willow steps forward and hugs her. "I have to come clean to you" She steps back and looks at L.J and then at the ground. "I envied you for a very long time. Actually, since the day I met you in high school. You were hanging out with these hot guys, and they treated you so well, all the girls wanted to rip your throat out" Wow, she knew they hated her, but she didn't know they were that vicious. "I never wanted to talk to you, because I thought you were full of yourself, since all the girls try so hard to get the slightest attention from the guys, but all you do is say one word and they run to you as fast as they possibly can. I don't know why, but they obviously all see something in you that they like, and I don't mean that in a rude way" She finished and L.J just stood there slightly shocked and uncomfortable not knowing where this conversation was going. "Anyway, all I wanted to say was that I'm sorry for judging you before getting to know you" She says and L.J nods. "It's fine honestly, I didn't even know you hated me" She says and Willow chuckles. "You're a funny one" With that said she picked up her bag and walked out of L.J's house getting into her car and driving off. It was a Saturday night and the guys told her that she was going to learn how to talk to boys, hence why she had to get someone to do her makeup, since they didn't want her to look like Chucky. She closed the front door and then looked to the boys, who were sitting on the couch. "So, I guess we can go now?" She asks them, but they all give her a once over and shake their heads. "Not looking like that we can't" Aaron said and stands up, grabbing L.J's hand dragging her upstairs to her closet. "I know you don't want to go all out right now, so I will take it slow, alright" He said as he sat her down on her king-sized bed. He pulled open the white wooden double doors that lead to her small walk in closet. The house was moderately big, and all the rooms had a small walk in closet, which made L.J feel like she was living in a palace with the Queen of England. Since she was mostly alone growing up, she used to pretend that this was her own house, and that she was a billionaire who ruled the world. That is until the boys came to play with her, then L.J suddenly turned into a pirate or a superhero. She grew very close to Cam, Aaron and Shane's families since she hardly ever spent any time with her own mother and father. Being an only child was really not fun, but L.J got used to it after a few years, yet she always felt like she was missing someone, and she didn't know who it was. She turned her attention back to Aaron who was wrecking her closet, trying to dig around for clothes for her to wear. He finally pulled out a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, a royal blue shirt and a black leather jacket with a pair of black vans. He closed the closet doors and stood in front of L.J looking like a general in the army, serious and poised. "Put those on and meet us downstairs in about three minutes" He says and then sharply turns and leaves the room, closing the door behind him. L.J looked at the clothes laying beside her on the bed and slightly groaned. Did she really have to get dressed up and go out with the boys? All she wanted to do was get in bed with some snacks and soda, and binge watch Friends. L.J was always the type of person who would rather live in a fantasy world than the real world, but like most of the people in the world, her bubble is burst by reality. L.J got dressed and walked down the stairs joining the boys at the front door, and they all piled out, one at a time. "Let's get this party started!" Cam yells and L.J wanted to punch him for being so enthusiastic. "This is not going to be fun" She grumbled while frowning and Aaron scoffed. "Maybe not for you, but for us it will be" He says, and the guys laugh at that. L.J glared at the back of Aaron's head wishing a boulder would fall from the sky and hit him on the head. They got in the Jeep and drove off to the mall, and the entire way there L.J felt a little uneasy. She was going to have to talk to boys, and try to flirt with them, try to impress them to like her. "You're looking a little pale there L.J, are you alright?" Shane asked her as he looked at her in the rear view. "Yeah, I'm great" Is all she says and rests her head on the seat. "We're here" She lifted her head and groaned. "That was fast" She says and Shane nods. "Let's go" Cam says and they start walking towards the building, L.J's legs feeling like jelly. "So, I want you to try and talk to five guys today, ok?" Aaron looked at her and smiled and she tried to do the same. "Ok" She manages to make it into the building without falling down in the parking lot. "Where do you want to start, L.J?" Cameron asked her as he gestured around to all the guys around them. So many guys, so many guys, too many guys! L.J's mind was going into overload mode with all the hot males around her, and the thought that she had to speak to them. L.J knew she had to start somewhere and worked up the courage to do it. Now all she had to worry about was not passing out.
