Those words stuck with me long after Josh left. He stayed with me nearly my whole shift and despite it being late, he looked like he didn't even mind. He looked almost happy to be there and it messed with my mind a little.
He messed with my mind a little. He was beautiful in a different way than Chandler was. You could see the light radiating off of this man, whereas with Chandler, it was all fake charm and darkness that clung to him. He was sweet and so sure of everything he was saying to me.
The way he held my hand and looked at me made me feel seen in a way I haven't felt in such a long time. And...it was dangerous. Because just this one night with him and I could see myself falling for this man.
