The morning sunlight penetrated the window,casting shadows inside my eyes across my bedroom. My alarm kept ringing but didn’t wake me up,I had a stressful day and came home late,which made me sleep late. My eyes opened with a slow blink,using the back of my palm to clean my eyes. A little yawn came out of my mouth. I stretched out my hands,quickly sat up and looked at my phone. It was almost time for work. My body aches really bad from last night job,pulled the blanket over my face and yelled out.there's no time for all this.I tossed my blanket off my body and walked towards the window,looking at the bustling streets and feeling the warmth of the sun. “I need a good rest”,I cried out,my body aches so bad but there’s nothing I can do. I walked into my kitchen,a barely space corner but it was good enough that there wasn't much equipment,since I am hardly at home. Ipoured the stale coffee that I brewed last night into a mug and heated for 30mins and poured into a cup. I took a sip,and yelled out. “Damn it”,I hissed,”burnt my tongue again”. I kept the mug down and glanced at my wall lock is almost 8am,I have enough time to freshen up and catch the last bus by 8:40. I stood up and walked into the bathroom to shower,quickly showered and picked up a random polo and Jean with my old sneakers,tied up my hair and sprayed some perfume.checked out myself in my broken mirror but at least is stlll of use…… “Am I forging anything”,I said to myself,bringing my black bag with my phone. “Today is going to be a good”,i whispered to myself “Yes,now I remember what am missing out,I didn’t hug my teddy bear”,I quickly turned around to hug it and kissed her goodbye. DOWNTOWN,GULIDESIFT COMPANY -9AM Josh sat at across a table in his conference room,waiting for his investor and just as the man walked in and Josh stood,shook him with a greeting then showed him his seat. Adrian Robertson,a multi billionaire of “DON'T DATE JUST MARRY”company,a calm man with a nice personality. “Sorry,if I kept you waiting”,MR Adrian said “It’s fine”,Josh answered I have gone through the contract and it is nice,but “i'll sign the contract,only if your wife is present”. Josh smirked and blinked,”Excuse me?” Adrian gave him a serious look,”you heard me right”,I can’t work with someone that is labeled as a gay. Josh laughed out, ”Im sorry,but the rumors are not true just weird stuff people say about me being a gay but trust me,am not one” “Then,prove them wrong by getting married”,Adrain said calmly,standing up as he walked out. Josh sat there confused for some minutes,as Adrian walked out of the door. The deal is a massive deal for Josh's company and now a wife before it can be signed is something else. Josh walked into his office,murmuring to himself “I need a drink”,he said,as he sat on his chair taking off his tie. He dialed Robert’s cell,his best friend and long time business partner. “You won’t believe what I heard today”,he said the moment Robert picked the call “Try me”,Robert laughed,”you always hear insane things”. Josh exhaled from his mouth,”Adrian,won’t sign the contract unless,I present my wife in the dinner,next Saturday” Robert laughed out,and said” I didn’t know,contract comes with a wife now”. “He won’t trust man who is been called gay”,Josh said Robert burst out laughing,”you really don’t have an opinion cause the rumors are everywhere”,so what’s your plan? Josh answered,"I don't know,how will I find a wife in this short period of time?”and it must be convincing to him. “Well,we got to be looking for one right” ,Robert said Josh stood up from his chair,walked towards his window,staring outside,I need to think of something. “Can we met up?,Josh asked Yes,let’s meet at de lux restaurant,Robert said and cut off the call. Josh, feeling frustrated,ran his hands through his hair. The diner was buzzing like a new restaurant,plates clicking,and steam rising from the kitchen,waitresses moving around and serving food and drinks. I was on my 4th table for the hour,my body keeps aching so badly,I needed s rest but there’s no way I can get it. “Here is your food”,I said with a smile,while dropping two plates of Chinese rice and a drink,to an elderly couples. Just before,I could step away ,a table 5 bell rang. I turned and clench my fist then turned with a smile as I walked,towards the man that was bossing people around like he owns the place. “Sir,how can I help you”,I asked “Coffee”,he yelled out without lifting up his head from his phone. “Which of the coffee,do you need”,I asked but he didn’t reply and asked again “Anyone,he barked “ I walked towards the coffee stand to get the coffee,just in 2 men in luxurious wears walked in, looking so handsome but I didn’t pay mention to them simce they’re like normal people coming here. I walked over,and poured the man his coffee and about leaving,he lifted up his head and smirked “You’ve a nice boy even though the apron is covering them” I paused and got irritated by his words,turned around “Excuse me?” He chuckled,”you look cute even you’re angry,you should smile more”. I kept the pot of coffee down on the table with a thud that draw people’s attention to us “You dont talk to people anyhow,you lack manners”,I said aggressively He didn’t answer me rather he leaned back and and reached out,pulled me by my waist and muttered “dont be like this pretty girl”. I quickly pulled the pot of coffee closer and spilled it on him,he stood up wanting to slap me just in a tall man stepped in and held his hands,asking him to leave before he disgrace himself more just as he was about leaving. He yelled out,”you’ll hear from me”then he stormed out the door Thank you so much,I said to the man(Josh),then I heard my manager calling me out “AMY!”,came a shrill voice,Tony,the manager I walked to over to him and he asked me to follow him,leading me to the waitress lounge. “Why did you behave like that to our customer,you know he is an important person”. “Are you serious sir,he was misbehaving with me and you stood there without intervening and you're here questioning me?” I said angrily. “How dare you talk to me in that manner,remember am still your boss”,he yelled out “Ohhh wow! hate disrespect but someone was disrespecting me,you stood there watching!! ”You’re fired”he said “Wow…..that’s more like it”,I answered him back,he threw the paper on me and walked out. Just minutes after he left,it dawned on me that I was jobless but then again I can’t have someone disrespect me in that manner,quickly changed my clothes,carried my bag and stormed out of the restaurant.obviously everyone was staring at me but that didn’t matter at all… Josh has been sitting down since,barely touching his drink consumed by the thought of finding a wife,was distracted by the waitress yelling and nobody was willingly to stop the man then he stopped p and stopped,he watched as I walked out of the door…. “You don’t like interfering in people’s business,what changed?,robert asked “Nobody was willingly to intervene,the noise was distracting me”,Josh answered “So,what are you going to do about the wife?”,robert asked Josh didn't say a word for few seconds and said out ”I've found her”,Josh said “Robert raised his brows ,who?” “My wife” “Your wife,how,when and where?”,Robert asked confused Josh smirked slightly Robert grasped “You gotta be kidding,hope is not what I am thinking?” “Yes,it is”,he answered smiling….. She is outspoken,bold,confident and her accent is well spoken,she's well educated,I can tell from her voice. She just needs a little change and touches…. “Okay,she seems more like it but are you certain she’ll agree to it,Robert said concern “We'll see about that”,Josh said First,we need her contact information so we can approach her. Robert seems familiar with the manager,he approached him,after all the greetings and Che king on each other “Can give me that girls contact”Robert asked “Which girl,please”,he replied “The one that caused a scene not too long ago” “You know i'm not supposed to give out her details but because I know and trust you,she's a really nice girl just that she doesn’t like to be disrespected”,he said back to Robert and handed her details to him. “Thank you so much,I appreciate”,Robert said Robert walked back to his table and handed the details to josh and told him exactly what the manager said,”She hates to be disrespected”. Josh nodded and smiled “I need to head back to the office”,Robert said as he stood up,Josh stood up as well and walked out of the door.
