I stared at the ash car he was leading me to with doubt and then flickered my gaze to him as he halted. Cornered was leaning against it as if he owned it.

He is too young to drive right? I asked myself the obvious " I knew you would like it" he said and pulled the door open " get in and wait for me"

" I want to believe you are not going to drive that" I raised a brow as he starts to laugh. " you got that right" he responded " fine" I settled in patiently waiting for him to return from wherever.

" here, " he passed me a small paper bag " opened it," he said glaring with a smile " did you steal those?" My questions seemed to be the funniest statement to him" don't worry because I didn't"

" Ooh," I said and dipped my hand in the bag, and pulled out the fried chicken. It looked yummy, I licked my lips as my tummy gave out a loud noise " but before that, let me treat your wound" he drew a small box from behind him. " what is that?" I asked beaming at him and taking in every bit of his action. " it's a first aid box" he answered. Though I had no idea what that was I chose to see rather than ask questions that I wouldn't understand the answers" who are you here with?" I shook my head chewing the meat in my mouth" alpha Kane" I answered absentmindedly. " what is alpha?" He asked. I forgot I was dealing with a human" are you a doctor?" I intentionally changed the discussion and considering how skillful he was treating it, I also knew only doctors could treat injuries." Are you seriously asking me that?"

" huh" I nodded. " don't you think am too young to be a doctor? Though I want to a one, one day" I winked in pain as the wet cotton touched my wound " sorry" he rubbed the cotton on my knee injury slowly as he blow air on it to help with the pain.

My eyes were tightly shut. It was hurting a lot though Cornered was patient and careful. " all good" I opened my eyes halfway" all good" I mimic his words and for a moment I thought it was Kane. " yes" he replied, he look happy helping me with my injury" how can I also be a doctor?" I asked, how excited he appeared made me want to experience that area. Even though mom used to teach me how to read and write but I didn't think being a doctor has something to do with that because obviously, Cornered didn't write nor read anything when he was still treating my wound.

" Just find the will here" he pointed to his chest. " just love helping others and everything shall be added. Doctors are supposed to love their patients and treat them better. That way, even if your certificate isn't good, you can continue helping people without expecting much " he explained as he stuff his items in the box. " do I have to go to school?" He nodded and I frowned. I hate to admit but I don't want to go to school" if you don't go to school how can you be able to prescribe a medicine to a patient? When you are specifying medication to patients, you will have to write them or mention them"

" that is going to be hard" I murmured taking a bit " I can help you with anything you want" he proposed. " really!" I smiled brightly. But the thought of Kane made my face drop " why, don't you want my help anymore?" I shook my head.

Cornered handed me a white shirt" change to this"

" what! Here?" He nodded and turned to me his back. " I won't look until you ask me to" I glared down at myself and then to his back. " I don't think it's right" I returned the shirt to him " what, okay I will leave you for a while to change" he gave back the dress " make sure to change that dirty clothes," he said before leaving and shutting the door close.

I looked down at my stained dress and sighed.

I pulled it off from my head as I exposed my growing chest. I didn't know whether it was a good idea, so I tossed my cloth somewhere.

I turned my head to the glass window and the familiar blue eyes were staring at me from the dark. " Kane" my mouth fall opened and in a swift, I covered my chest with the shirt " why, were you expecting someone?" He chuckled as he knocks on the glass. I found myself shaking my head " open the door" he ordered and I opened it without wasting a second.

A teasing smile showcased his face as he gawked at my embarrassed red face. It was so foolish of me to feel embarrassed with a grown-up like him when obviously, he wasn't my age mate or anything to be embarrassed about.

He pulled the shirt off my chest and tossed it away. I was shocked to say a thing, his eyes didn't fail to examine my chest or maybe it was my imagination. I met his burning gaze and without a word he pulled off his jacket to wrap me up before carrying me out of the car." Can I say goodbye to my friend?" I parted my lips as if I understood his glare" I don't want him to worry" I said sincerely.

Cornered was a good person, I didn't want him to think I left him besides, I wanted to thank him for the company and the treatment.

" no" I sighed hearing his reply, seriously, I didn't see this coming.

We took the stairs instead of the elevator which lasted us more minutes than it was supposed to be with the elevator.

He kicked the door opened and Copper was already in there, he was seated comfortably on the couch " alpha" he stood up immediately after he saw us, and a grin formed on his face upon meeting my gaze. I didn't know why but I joined him, I didn't realize how I had missed him until I saw him. It was just a few hours but it felt longer. " hey, kid" I rolled my eyes when he called me that sweeping the smile off my face. It seemed his mind was made up, " you look good" he said and Kane stared down at me " what are saying?" I asked. Kane seems to know what he implied because he chuckled as he stared down at me." Go change" he sets me on the floor" take a good shower" Copper spoke when no one yearned for his opinion" whatever" I said for Kane to smile.

After making sure the door was closed, I wanted to see my reflection in the mirror but I could only see my face which was not all I wanted to see. I wanted to see my chest. My breast was developing but I didn't know why I was feeling a little bit of pain in that region, the pain turns severe when something touches it. A moment ago I felt it when Kane's hand brushed it.

Mom would have explained to me what was happening, maybe I have some infection. I couldn't tell.

I searched around and when I found what I was looking for, I ran for it. Luckily there was no waste paper in it. I turned it upside down and jumped on it.

I touched my face and wished I was a grown woman so I could be with Kane. I wanted to be with him and no one else. I believe I was feeling like that because he was kind to me and also attractive, that was why I was having these mix feeling about him. I ran my fingers down to my chest after shoving the jacket off and crossed my hand, shading each breast with a palm.

His handsomeness was something I hadn't seen before but that didn't feel right for a young girl like me to have those feelings towards him when my fated mate was somewhere out there.

I moved my hands from my invisible growing breast. Only a proper view would notice its existence.

"Ah!" The waste bin broke cursing me to lose balance. Luckily I fall into something else rather than the hard cold floor that could have given me a million bruises and a death warrant." Careful princess" I rolled my eyes up, only to see him glaring at me as he holds me effortlessly. " what happened?" We heard Copper as he pushed the door" nobody called you in here, Copper!!" He growled in a way I didn't understand. It felt like he was being possessive but whom I was kidding? It couldn't possibly be the case.

" ah....." I covered my chest and he chuckle at my little action. " stop giving me a headache and take a shower" he let me down.

He raised my chin and brushed my hair off my face " sorry" I said softly, I was too embarrassed to look him in the eye. Why was there a lot of coincidence?

I pulled down my skirt when I heard him close the door.

After spending forever in the bathroom, all because I was embarrassed to face him. I finally dropped out in an ash lacy gown that reached my knee.

I stood at the bathroom door listening to his conversation with Copper which I didn't mean to.

" We are leaving tonight for the pack house" he ordered sinking my heart. I didn't know where my fate would be. What if he decided to dump me somewhere, after all, I was no use to him." You send Leona anywhere except the alpha building" the minute I heard my name, my heart started beating faster but taking in the rest made me rest my shoulders.

At least I had a place to call home " you aren't coming?" Copper raised a glass as his gaze fall on me. Kane's back was facing me " I need a good f**k" Kane said for Copper to shrug taking a sip." You have got Ana" Copper suggested as Kane Consumed the content in his glass " it will take time" Kane responded.

I didn't know why I felt angry when the name Ana was mentioned.

Copper, Moses, and I with two other men I had not seen before matched towards the car. Copper and Moses took the front seat while I occupied the back seat alone. And the two other guards took the second car. " hey!!" I snapped to see Cornered running down the stairs towards us" can you give me a minute?" I wondered how he found out I was leaving but I was thankful to see him one last time. " am sorry Cornered about earlier" I felt guilty for leaving him without saying goodbye after the kindness he showed me " that," he said. I noticed his attention was behind me so I looked back.

" let her be," Copper said to Kane leaning against the car with his hands crossed on his chest. Kane on the other hand was staring coldly at us. I felt like he didn't like me talking with Cornered " sorry I have to go" I said to him. " am also leaving with my parents" I followed the direction of his eyes and his mother waved at us. " call me" he hands me a piece of paper with digits on it." Goodbye" he was about hugging me when Copper pulled me" we have to leave" I nodded." You won't need that" Kane took the paper from me and I didn't feel bad about it.
