In the cell

I was lost in my thought that I forgot I was crossing my boundaries when I heard someone clear his throat from behind. Fear gushed in me, coursing me to step forward. I held my breath as if only my breathless state can save me. Suddenly, tears threatened to fall when I realized my state, I stood frozen looking pathetic. I knew there was no escape and even if I manage to ran, it would be a matter of seconds and they would get me. I didn't attempt to raise my chin nor move my steps any feather. I was screwed and, I knew my punishment wasn't going to be a joke. No alpha would take such offense lightly, at least not the one I knew from the blood moon pack. "What is the lady doing out here in the middle of the night?" I slowly raised my head to meet Philips's grinning face. He winked at me and forward his steps. "Don't tell me..." He paused whatever he was going to add and look ahead, the door cracked open and my body stiffen, I could smell him. It was the alpha! A tear dropped from my eyes. I wished I could turn back time, I regretted my decision but I knew better to keep quiet. Alpha Karl was standing in all his glory, hands in his pocket with a gloomy face. I knew I was dead meat, He lifted his brow questioning my presence in the restricted area. My heart turned dead and I sent my glares back to the floor. I was surprised when Philip plodded in front of me shading me with his giant being. I couldn't see the expression on alpha Karl's face but I could imagine how mad he could get. "I asked her to bring me this." he showed him a bracelet. "I was not talking to you" he half yelled pushing Philip his way. "I ask you again what were you listening to?" he roared as if he knew my present since the beginning. He might have smelled me! My eyes popped out to the realization of regretting my action from the deepest shade of my heart. Alpha Karl furiously threw his hand on my cheek sending me to the floor, "you scumbag, you have the nerve to poke your nose into where they don't belong. Don't you know your place as a slave?" he was beyond angry as the discussion was confidential. If words of his plan go out there, then he would be screwed but I wondered who the alpha Kane was and why his name seemed to go well with my inner being. That was my second time hearing the name, it consoles my wounded heart and gives me new hope. I didn't know why but mom was right when she said names can be very powerful depending on the bearer. "Slaves like you don't deserve to live. I gave you a chance to serve the pack you chose to go against the rules just like your ungrateful mother!" He roared in certainty. I snapped my head up staring at him. I wondered how he knew my mother and I knew she was everything but certainly not ungrateful. I admit she was a violet woman fighting for justice which the world hates! I raised my head to watch Philip, my tears rained down in sadness. My eyes reddened as I sobbed silence on the floor. Mom was the best werewolf I have ever met in my world as well as Lilly. She was the only wolf I fell in love with. Philip shaded me with his giant figure once again trying to protect me from the alpha's wrath. I knew I f****d up big time and I deserved whatever the alpha would do to me. "If you know what is good for you, get the f**k out of my way!" He growled like a hungry lion at his face which sent me pulling back my ass in horror. Suddenly I saw Philip drift against the wall at the side. Just a blink and alpha Karl was holding my throat, a little growl escaped his lips as his grip tightened on my neck. I shut my eyes in fear, tears never left my eyes. "You daughter of a w***e! " "Karl! Stop this. She is just a kid." Philip shouted from the other side. " you can't vent your anger on her, she is just a kid, Karl. It's not her fault. Let her go, Karl." I prayed that it won't hurt. If I were to die, I wanted it to not hurt. I didn't want to experience pain before death. "Then who's fault was it, tell me." I held his arms with my small hands, the pain that I feared was what I was going through. "Is that your way of convincing me? Wow! Philip, spear me the gist because we both know what happened and who is behind it." he snared in despised. I could pick the hatred from his voice. It seemed whoever that Kane was, wasn't the only one in his bad books. I sensed the disgust in his tone. And if that had something to do with mom, better still I was dead meat. "Karl, she is innocent. You have to believe me." Philip was doing me a favor though I had no idea of what they were blabbing about. His finger pierced my skin under his hold and blood tickled on my stained white dress. I moaned in pain, my eyes still shut. I was afraid of what my eyes might see if I open them. "Alpha Karl." The door swung open and someone walked in which I concluded was Beta Edward. I felt his grip loosen a bit. "Alpha Kane has sent words proposing his coming..." He stopped talking when he realized the tension in the hall. "Lock her up." he took his hand off me and I slammed on the cold floor struggling for air. For a moment I prayed for a peaceful death but I got released instead. How long will I last? Beta Edward shoved me into the first cell and ordered the guards to keep an eye on me. I loved living in the dark cell than roaming out there in misery and pain. I thought it was better this way if I want to live longer than what fate had for me. I requested the moon goodness to send an angel to rescue me. My stomach growled.
