John was walking in a large and modern office, it had a lot of white and grey tones. The desk was all glass with blunt edges. The TV screen on the wall was flushed with the wall, when it was not on it looked like a painting. On the other wall was glass shelving all the way to the ceiling. It was filled with pictures of pups growing up and alphas shaking hands. John made a big grin “alpha Killen, so nice of you to see me on such short notice.” The other alpha grinned back “please John, it’s just Killen between the two of us. And it is my pleasure. I really value our alliance, the last time you were here you saved us from a particularly sticky situation. I will never forget how you saved my baby sister.” John chuckled but Killen had a frown as he spoke about the incident. “Yes, your sister is surely a feisty one. She held up her own until I got there though. She’s just young and inexperienced, she hadn’t learned the true danger about rogues yet.” Killen huffed at that “I swear, it seems like she still haven’t learned. She keeps getting into trouble.” John shook his head while he tried not to laugh “she will calm down when she meet’s her mate.” Killen huffed at that and slapped his palm into the table. “I wish she would find him soon, some years ago I was praying it would be you. But no such luck.” He rubbed his hand over his face, he was already drained from thinking of the troubles his sister was giving him. “I’m not so sure we would have been friends still if I was mated to your sister, I’m not that much better than her.” John grinned at the thought of being fated to Killen’s sister. “I don’t know John, you could use some settling down as well. I hear you are still playing it like you can’t get enough.” John coughed at that, he seemed a bit embarrassed at that. “Actually Killen, I am here because I am looking to settle down.” Killen’s jaw dropped, he was speechless. He shook his head a bit to get his bearings back. “You want me to set you up with a shewolf? Is that why you are here? To acquire a chosen mate?” He was blurting out his questions, he could not believe what John was saying. “No no no, not all all. Nothing like that. I already found my mate.” Killen made huge eyes and a toothy grin erupted on his face. He stood up and walked to John to embrace him “congratulations John, that is fantastic news!” John embraced him back and they both slapped a palm on their backs. They both sat down and looked at each other. Killen’s smile fell a bit as he searched John’s face for more information. It looked like he caught on to that the story was much longer than just that. John took a deep breath and gave Killen a forced smile “My Luna escaped from me, and she has no plans of coming back.” Killen’s expression fell “I am so sorry John, I had no idea. Did she reject you?” John chuckled “no, she has no idea how to. She’s human and she has no idea that werewolves exists. I stumbled into her by chance, at a club of all places. She helped me and my pack out of a sticky situation then left without telling.” Killen just made bigger eyes and slowly shook his head “wow John, you have a big challenge ahead of you. How can I help?” John grinned at Killen “funny you should ask, that’s why I’m here.” Killen leaned back into his chair “anything John, I am happy to help. Now. Tell me all abut your Luna, what’s her name?” John replied “Luna.” Killen nodded “yes your Luna, what is her name?” John replied once again “Luna.” Killen got impatient “yes John, but what is her name??” John grinned “her name is Luna.” Killen started to roar out a huge and warm laughter. “Of course her name is Luna. That is hilarious. I guess she had no idea what that means?” John nodded at that “she does not, and the irony has not passed me by.” John then continued “Luna does contract work, she travels all around the country helping with internet security. Her name attracts a certain clientele, and she also has been stalked by our kind and vampires. She’s been holding them off though, she’s crafty for sure.” John rolled his eyes a bit, Killen was listening in intently. “It seemed like we were moving towards something, but then she just left. And when I tried to reach her... well, she basically turned me down. So as the creep I am, I’m going to stalk her and win her over!” Killen nodded in support “Well the mate bond is strong, even between were and human. She will be very surprised tough when she learns that humans are not the only species walking among them.” John leaned his head on one hand, his elbow at the arm of the chair. He sighed before he continued “that’s why I wanted to talk to you. Your older sister is fated to a human, am I right?” Killen rubbed his face with both his hands and made a aaargh noise “Yes, but she rejected him. She was so b*tthurt over the fact that he didn’t fall in love with her right away, so she god mad and rejected him. He had no idea what was happening and he had no idea how to accept the rejection. So the mate bond was never severed. She would cry herself to sleep every night. Shewas as a nightmare to deal with, the biggest drama queen our pack has ever seen. I swear, I was close to just chucking her into the dungeon. Then out of the blue the human shoved up. Turns out he couldn’t get her out of his mind. He confessed his dying love and they have been happy together ever since. Which, to be honest, I can not understand as she is the biggest b*tch in the 3-pack area” Killen whispered those last words. “Thank godess they decided to move out of the area to be closer to his parents, I don’t think I could survive more of her antics. I will gladly take rogues, baby sis’s screw ups and bloodshed any day over Amy’s cr*p.” John was laughing out loud at this point. He slapped his hand on his knee and wiped a tear. “Well Killen, you sure do know how to tell a story. And I did get the information I needed. “ Killen took his fingers through his hair “I can’t believe you found your mate, people started to think you would forever be a bachelor.” John shook his head “I never gave the idea a single though, but after my eyes landed on hers everything changed. Now all I want is to find her, claim her and make sure she get one of my pups in her.” John grinned from ear to ear, Killen just sighed in happiness for his friend “That’s exactly what I though when I saw my Lillian.”
