Aryan's POV:
As the rays of morning sun disturbed my sleep, I woke up massaging my forehead. Someone stirred next to me, making me grunt "s**t, my head." Last night events rushed like a memory, as I remembered going to club with Kayden, booze, shots after shots and girls. I tried to recall what her name was. I wondered whether it's Addison or Madison, but it was of no use.
I looked at the time and cursed as the realisation dawned upon me, "Damn it I'm running late how did I forget that I have a meeting at 9 am." I rushed out of the bed and headed for a quick shower. I walked out of the washroom, wrapping a towel around my waist. I saw her sitting on the bed wearing her dress back. She blushed looking at me in a towel, I smirked putting a shirt on, as she came near and kissed my cheeks.
She slid her card on the table whispering, "Call me tonight" before picking up her purse.I threw the card on the nearby trash can as soon as she turned around. She walked away swaying her hips before shutting the door behind.
I rushed out of my apartment carrying my laptop bag and car keys. I mentally made a note to grab a coffee for myself before going to the meeting as it's much needed. The traffic in New York was testing my patience. I chide myself for being reckless and giving into that asshole's demand, but a small smile played across my lips as I thought of what situation he is in right now. The horns from the vehicles were also adding to my head ache.I banged my head on the steering wheel cursing my luck.
As the traffic cleared out I sped past and turned into a suburban where my favourite coffee shop is, " The hideout coffee house ", apt to the name it's hidden with a peaceful ambience and have always been my favourite. I waved at Sally ordering my usual caramel mocha and paid for the order. My phone rang, it was Kayden.
I sat on the nearby table and attended the call. The first thing I heard was his loud cursing, after which we discussed about the meeting for a few minutes, later which he disconnected the call but not before asking me to buy a vanilla latte for himself.
"Order no: 12", I heard the waiter call which made me smile, at least one good thing happened. I paid for my order and turned around only for someone to bump into me, which resulted in pouring the iced tea the person was holding all over me.
I opened my mouth to shout only to be spellbound by the sight of her standing in front of me with pouty lips and wide eyes.
She kept saying "I'm sorry... I'm really very sorry", as she kept her bag on the nearby table. She grabbed a tissue and started to wipe the tea, only making the shirt to get more stains.
When she saw me opening and closing my mouth with no words spoken, she waved her hand in front of my face snapping me out of the daze in which I was lost in. She started to apologize once again, only for me to cut it off raising my hand.
"Watch your way Miss", I said before hurrying out of the cafe. I walked back to my car and started the engine glancing off at her for one last time. I hate to admit this but looking at her, has indeed stirred something unknown inside me but I brushed it off thinking as the effect of my hangover.
I reached my office and went inside the cabin to change my shirt. As I was removing my shirt Kayden barged in, without knocking on the door.
I looked at him annoyed, "I have told you so many times to knock on my door before coming in, Kayden I said. He took a seat, taking his vanilla latte in hands and asked "What happened to your s**t?" totally ignoring what I was saying to him.
I told him, "It's nothing, just someone bumped into me accidentally and their iced tea spilled all over me" as I buttoned up my new shirt. I looked down at the stained shirt and thought about her and our short encounter.
Kayden's annoying voice snapped me out of my thoughts, "Was she hot?" he asked. I asked "The what?" He laughed looking at me saying, "You spaced out brother so I asked was she hot," I threw him a glare before asking, "How do you know it's a girl? It could be a man, you know?"He threw me a look which said "I can see through your bullshit."
I rolled my eyes accepting my defeat, "Yes it was a girl and she was well nice or whatever" and headed out of the cabin grabbing my caramel mocha latte before he could ask me anything further.
Throughout the meeting her thoughts invaded my mind and I was losing focus. I impatiently waited for the meeting to end and rushed out of the room, back to my cabin. I sat in my chair with eyes closed. I heard a buzz on my intercom saying that, "The investors are here to meet me." I pressed the button and took a deep breath calming myself down.
Right then there was a knock on my door and I stood up to greet them.We exchanged pleasantries and the meeting which started at 12pm ended only at 3pm. Three hours filled with lots of discussion, I must say the meeting went pretty good and the deal is sealed. They left after signing the documents. And by the end of it, I was famished.
I came out of the cabin and planned to go to a nearby restaurant for late lunch. Seeing me heading out, Kayden tagged along and we decided to walk as it's close by. After finding a table I ordered a Chicken grilled sandwich with iced tea and he ordered a Chicken burger. We waited for the food to arrive while we discussed how the meeting with investors went. As the waiter placed our orders, we dug in as we both were hungry and ate our food in silence.
Suddenly Kayden wiggled his eyebrows asking me to turn around and look at the girl behind me. I glanced at him but eventually turned around and there she was sitting in front of a man and was laughing at something he said.
I felt a twinge of jealousy, as if sensing a pair of eyes on her she turned to my direction and our eyes met. We kept looking at each other and I cursed as I felt a pain on my leg. I glared at Kayden asking, "Why the heck did you kick me?"
To which he smiled sheepishly replying"I know she is hot, but you see she is with a man so quit staring at her."
I groaned saying "Whatever" as we ate the rest of our meal in silence with some chit chat but I kept glancing at her whenever I got a chance.
As we paid for the bill and got to leave I took one last glance at her, she was looking down tucking the strands of hair from her face and my fingers twitched. I shook my head to clear my thoughts but I failed miserably. Throughout the day the image of her kept coming in my mind which made me curse at myself.
