The next two days passed in a flash and I actually enjoyed working together with Dante. He was happy to show me his world and teach me all about being Luna for his pack. That brought us closer too. It was hard to resist the call of the marking but we managed so far. It was finally time to meet my family and I was nervous as we drove to my pack's territory. I left my father's pack for Dante's but I still felt warm inside to be back. I smiled as I recognised the familiar place and Dante held me closer. "What's on your mind princess?" He asked. "I'm happy to be here. I missed them." "We've been together a week. You can't miss them that much." "I do because it was a long week and you know it. You kidnapped me, threatened me and my family, hurt me, showed me your business, f****d me senseless and so much more." He chuckled before kissing my head and I snuggled his side. "It was eventful that's for sure. You're such a fierce girl baby." "You've seen nothing yet." I teased. He locked his green gaze on mine and I played coy. That would always work to make him hot. I saw his eyes fill with lust but before we could do anything, we were stopped by border patrol. Our driver opened the window for the warrior to look inside and I smiled brightly at him. I recognised that wolf. It was Delta Aaron. We grew up together so he smiled wide as he recognised me. "Lena!" Aaron said. "It's so good to see you. We were all worried you know but then your father told us you found your mate. Congratulations!" "Thanks Aary." I said answering his smile. "We're happy. Is my father expecting us?" "Alpha is. Go straight to your house. I would advise to brace yourself, your mother will probably pounce on you." "Thank you for the heads up." I giggled imagining my mother. She would probably hound Dante that was for sure. We closed the window and I gave directions to the driver before sitting back next to Dante. "Who is Aary?" He asked his lips in a thin line and his eyes almost more yellow than green. "He's a childhood friend. He became Delta when we were old enough. We've been to school together nothing more so don't worry." I kissed his cheek softly and he wrapped an arm possessively around me. "I see. I suppose there will be a lot of males here like him." "Yes pretty much. Don't worry, you won't see my exes." I chuckled. "It would be better for them." He said his voice cold. Huh oh. Not good. I cupped his face in my hands and made him look at me before I kissed him fiercely. He pulled me close to him until our bodies were as pressed as the car allowed and he took control of the kiss chasing my tongue inside my mouth. I could not help eager noises from coming from my throat and Dante growled making my entire body shiver in expectation. When we kissed like that it would usually finish with us both sweaty and naked. We did not have the time for it now though. He parted first and rubbed his thumb on my lower lip making me want more. He knew how much I liked it when he did that. "Not yet cara mia. When we go home though... You better be prepared because I won't stop until you fall asleep from exhaustion." I bit my bottom lip to stifle a moan. Goddess. How could he say such things with a straight face? "Not fair." I said my mouth dry. "You're not being fair my love. It's already a difficult thing for me to bring you back here..." "Why is that?" I asked tilting my head. "I fear that you'll realise that the life I'm offering is not like what your parents have. We'll probably never have a peaceful quiet life like that." He said. He seemed a bit anxious and regretful all of a sudden. It was adorable and not at all like my overconfident mafia boss mate. I cupped his face in my hands to make him look at me and smiled. "Hey, that's never what I wanted. I would be lying if I said that I never wished for my mate to be some kind of prince but I always wanted something else than what my parents have. You're not the cute romantic type but you're definitely an adventure and I love that. There's nowhere I'd rather be now." I said. "You with some kind of prince? Honey, you're way too naughty for a prince. I know just what you like and you're more a devil than an angel." I chuckled. He was right about that. Now being with a prince seemed silly and not at all adapted to my desires. I liked what Dante did to me that was undeniable. "Well I discovered that with you my mate." I said amused. "Good." He kissed me softly as our driver parked the car in front of my house. I could see my dad, mom and brother waiting for us on the front porch. Well, they were not wasting time to see my mate. We climbed out of the car and my mom jumped on me. "Selena! My baby! How could you do this to me?! Why didn't you call sooner?" She asked shooting the questions one after another. "Hi mom." I said weakly hugging her tight. "We've been busy that's why." "Not busy making me grandpups as I can see. You're still not marked." She chastised. "Mom!" I blushed and bumped into Dante as I took a step back. "I... Wanted to get to know my mate before that." Dante wrapped an arm around my waist as he offered my mom his best smile. It was such a commercial worthy one that it could make any heart melt. "Nice to meet you Luna. I'm Alpha Dante Mancini." He said extending his hand. My mom took it hesitantly, dazzled by Dante's smile and he kissed the back of her hand like a perfect gentleman. She blushed and giggled before my father appeared behind her, my brother next to him. "Nice to see you again Alpha Dante." My father said frowning. "I can't say that it wasn't a shock to learn that you're my daughter's mate." "Robert." My mom chastised. "It's ok." Dante said. "I can imagine that it was considering my reputation." My father did not seem convinced that it was all there was to it and I hoped he would never learn how we found out that Dante was my mate. Werewolves had no way to criticise the Goddess' way but my dad would find one and I understood that. I would do the same for my pups. "It's ok dad." I said. "Dante is a very good mate to me." I smiled at my mate and he smiled back at me, pleased that I used his name again after so long. "Let's go inside." My mom said. "I didn't prepare a whole meal for us to just talk outside." I chuckled hearing my mom boss everyone around. She was Luna all right. She pushed us all inside while my brother made his way to me. "Can we talk sis?" Deacon asked. "Of course." I said wondering what the secrecy was about. I casted a glance at Dante to make sure that he would be all right with my parents and he nodded. I then turned my focus back on my brother and followed him to the office in our home. It was located on the ground floor next to my parents' bedroom. Deacon opened the door and closed it behind me once I was inside. "What is it Deacon?" I asked not bearing his silence any longer. "Are you all right? I know that father didn't ask much questions when he got you on the phone but we know what Alpha Dante does." He said straight to the point. I smiled at my worried brother. Yeah there was no denying how dangerous Dante was and how it was hard in the beginning for us but not anymore. We both had to make concessions but I never did one on my family's safety and I was glad. I hugged my brother tight and he hugged me back. "I'm more than fine. Dante he's... I won't lie to you, he can be difficult because he's been alone for so long but he's also very sweet to me. We fight sometimes but it's normal look at mom and dad so don't worry about me ok?" "But he's mafia. He does things that are illegal and he murders people." He insisted. "He does but so do we D. I mean we've both killed rogues before so we can hardly accuse him of being a murderer." I said. Deacon seemed to think about it and he shook his head. Maybe he would never approve but what could he do? Dante was my mate and there was no changing that. "We don't kill rogues for money." He said. "He's not an assassin either you know." I frowned. "I just... I just want you to be safe." He said in a low voice. "I am. Dante would litterally kill anyone who hurt me so you really don't need to worry." I said harshly. I was tired of him implying that Dante was not a good mate. He had flaws but not this one. He sighed before hugging me tight again. "I miss you sis." "So do I." I said smiling. It was the Goddess' honest truth.
