I was still sorting the stuff out when I felt an arm wind around my waist. I did not need to turn around to know that it was Dante. The tingles and his powerful smell were enough.

"What are you doing?" He asked his voice low in my ear.

"Look."

I handed him the little stuffed wolf and he frowned visibly not knowing what he should do with it.

"It was my favourite when I was a pup. I would never leave the house without it." I said.

I looked into his eyes as he looked at the black wolf. He seemed deep in thoughts because I could not feel a thing from our bond.

"My mom thought it would be a good idea to give me our pup's stuff so I was looking through it and reminiscing." I continued.

"I see." He said still looking at the wolf.

"Do you like it that much too?" I chuckled.

He locked his green gaze back on mine and his emotions were so raw in his eyes. I could only see deep love and happiness.

"I love the fact that it's the same colour as my wolf and you loved it so much." He said his voice raw.

"I told my mom that it was fortelling. You're my mate after all." I smiled.

"I'll make you happy Selena." He said serious.

His gaze was steel now as I saw the resolve in his eyes. I cupped his face in my hands and kissed him softly. I had no doubt that he would. He had trouble showing this gentle side of him but I knew that it was there. It was just a matter of patience.

"I know." I said looking into his eyes. "How did it go with my father and brother?"

"We signed the papers and I made the check so we're good. He will build the storehouses on my road to the sea but it will take some time." He said.

"That was to be expected. Does that mean that they're all safe?" I asked.

I bit my bottom lip in anticipation and he smoothed it with his thumb.

"I told you before that it was very distracting when you did that." He said his voice a bit lower and breathy. "Yes love. It does mean that they're safe. Killing a partner is too much trouble except if he tries to cross me."

I jumped on him and he caught me as I wrapped my legs around his waist. I was so happy right now. It felt so good to know that my family and former pack were safe.

"Thank you." I said feeling the tears of relief fall from my eyes.

He chuckled as he held me tight to him.

"No need to thank me. You did that on your own baby. Tonight, you can claim your prize." He said wiping the tears from my face.

"I intend to." I said tracing the base of his neck where I would mark him.

He purred under my touch and I kissed him again but more fiercely this time. He parted his lips to grant me access to his mouth and I growled in approuval. That was exactly what I wanted right now. I felt him react to the intense kiss and I grinded my hips making him growl low as he parted to look at me.

"Are you sure that you want to do it here sweetheart? Your parents are right downstairs... I don't mind them hearing you as I make you mine but I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable." He whispered against my lips before biting my lower lip and making my breath hitch.

"You're right. It would be best to do that home so we can both be loud." I said next to his ear before biting it teasingly.

He growled low again and I saw his eyes shift from green to yellow. I kissed my way down his neck as he released me. I kissed his lips in a small peck and I saw him regain control over his wolf.

"Let's go now." He said.

I chuckled but nodded. I took the stuff I packed and followed him downstairs. My parents were there waiting for us and my mom had tears in her eyes. She was being overdramatic but I hugged her and said.

"Mom we're not that far away. We'll see each other soon."

"I know but it's still hard to see my baby go." She said.

"I'm 26 mom." I sighed.

"You'll always be my baby."

No need to argue because that would not work. I hugged my father next and finally my brother.

"Take care of yourself sis." He said.

"You too bro. It's time you find your own happiness as well you know."

I kissed his cheek and he smiled at me as I parted from him.

"Thank you very much for today." Dante said winding his arm around my waist.

"You two can come whenever you want." My mom said.

"We will." I nodded.

We said our goodbyes and climbed back into the car. I waved my parents goodbye and settled next to my mate. He put an arm around me to press our bodies together.

"It was nice." Dante said.

"Yes. My mom likes you." I teased.

"She's a good Luna and she raised you so I can only be really grateful to her."

I chuckled as I snuggled closer to him. I was happy to hear that it would be all right with my parents now.

We spent the drive back home in comfortable silence and I thought it was for the best. My wolf was acting restless inside my head and I wondered what was going on. Dante seemed to feel it too because he was looking at me quizzically.

Our driver parked the car in front of the pack house and I exited the car staggering. My wolf was fighting for control inside of my body. What's going on girl? She showed me a picture of our room and Dante pulled me into his arms to carry me bridal.

"What's going on love?" He asked.

"I don't know. She's restless. She wants us to go to our room." I said confused.

Dante nodded and started moving. I snuggled the crook of his neck to take a big wiff of his scent and that seemed to calm my wolf down. We passed all our wolves looking at us quizzically but Dante growled each time someone would get too close.

Once inside the room, he closed the door behind us and carried me to the bedroom. He laid me on the bed and as soon as my body touched the sheets, a heat wave went through my body such as I had never felt before. It made my skin sweat and my body shiver while my p***y started to drip. What was going on? Was I...

I looked at Dante and he was fighting for control but I saw that it was hard. I moaned as he laid a hand on my forehead to confirm what we were both feeling.

"Oh babygirl... You're in heat." He growled.

"Please Dante... Make it stop." I said my voice unsteady as I fought the pain.

He growled louder as he started to strip. That made my body react even more and I stripped to not waste a minute. I needed him inside right now. I also knew that he was not the only male who could feel my heat, every unmated male of the pack could. That was how heat worked if the female was not mated.

"s**t love..." He said. "You're driving me crazy and I won't be able to hold back."

He entered me powerfully making me cry out at the feeling. He growled before he started moving and yes, he was not nice. He was pounding hard, his hips were rolling and his arms were trapping me tight to him.

I howled and he joined me. The other wolves of the pack joined us as we were announcing our union. We were finally Alpha and Luna and very much pregnant.
