Chapter 1: After life
"Grandma and I went for a visit to my parent's tomb on their 8th death anniversary .It was my birthday and I still recall the news of my parent's assassination when I was as about to blow my candles 8 years back .The news was a complete twinge to my emotions that I almost forgot to cry out of horror and disbelief. Grandma had always been my life saver who raised me up with love and care in the form of an angel without my parents .I had only two women as my muse ;Mom and Grandma and dad ,my superhero ..until I got a transfer to another town for my grandmother's company as a heir. She was the lady boss but due to her poor health ,I had to cover up her work right after my graduation ."
"Robert dear ! Come downstairs to grandma " .I need to discuss something important with you .Grandma called me downstairs for the discussion of the work transfer . I was scrolling to my media feeds being slothful on my desk but if it's grandma , there's no thing I can deny to her request .I ran down as Swift as I could ...through the sofa to have her important chat . She requested " My boy , grandma's health is becoming weaker..and I don't want our company to be grabbed by another miser .so I want you to take over my chair and function it smooth as I handled before . Look! My grandson is already a brilliant adult . Can you do that favour for me? " . I wasn't really sure if I could handle such a big task but I couldn't shun her expectations from me . So I , without any hesitation was okay to her any favor and promised her to give the best effort I could and got ready to be transferred to the neighbouring town of her company's residence by coming week . I asked her if she would be okay without me . Grandma replied "of course my love ! You need not worry about me . I have maids here to look after me but since I was concerned about you ,I asked the company's assistant to arrange you a maid to serve you .. for you cannot even wash your trousers " giving me a loving smile . I have the best granny . Anyway grandma , if Dad were alive .... would you still give this task to me or him ? Her laugh was warm and joyful " my grandson is getting genius day by day . If your dad , my beloved son was alive today ...I would still give this work to you since you're the main hier to this company and just assume you're the rebirth version of your late father who was as handsome and genius as you are .The so called 'after life'". I felt at ease after seeing her merry for having me as the rebirth version of my dad . Days went by with a blink on an eye and it was almost a day to my journey as the boss of my grandma's company . Grandma was getting my stuffs packed to see me off .I got myself dressed with the finest comfortable wear and filled my stomach with her tasty recipe . Grandma stood near the gate with teary eyed to see me off " my precious grandson, stay safe okay ! Grandma loves you so much and will miss you . Do check me in through video chat whenever you're free." I hugged her for I know I'll miss her terribly and got my car ready to set off and swore her to always keep in touch through calls .
I rode myself all one to my new town .It was a long hour journey that I almost got tired due to long drive but on reaching my new apartment ,the assistant and bodyguards we're standing firm and welcomed me with great honor and respect. I almost felt so matured enough to gain respect in my 22nd year old. But since talking too much dosen't go along with me , I just bowed them back and got in to my new apartment. I informed grandma for my safe reach and she was relieved on hearing that .The maids served their best bowl of dishes to my dinner and dozed off warm on my bed .The next morning ,I woke up to a noisy alarm and got dressed with a haste to run to my office as a boss on my first appearance. When I entered , the staffs welcomed me with a warm claps ,smiles and handshakes .That was grandma's plan .How sweet ! I was fully in my suit with a decent combed hair but then ,I heard the staff ladies whispering around the corner blushing over my face . " Oh my God! So this is our new young boss .why is he so handsome !? awww I won't skip my office from today." All the ladies was amazed to see me but little did they know that I'm cold ,and will be the stern boss to them but fine ,I just nodded with a smirk and went to my chamber which was once grandma's desk .I was the lady charmer that whole day and when I narrated the incident to my grandmother through video chat ,she started to tease me with a wide laugh " grandma is also falling for you seeing with a suit .hahaha! so, my plan for sending you there wasn't a bad idea . Don't just be rude okay ." We had a warm chat and after turning off the call, I heard a swarm of ladies crossing the path with noisy talks that can disturb the whole neighborhood. Since I hate loud noise ,I turned my music on with the highest volume to shoo them off from my gate.
