Chapter 13

We took Reagan outside for some fresh air. We were amazed that her wolf was still alive as she had given so much silver and wolfsbane it was clearly meant to kill her wolf. Looking at Reagan with her face titled towards the sunshine, her eyes closed, clearly still getting used to the light, you wouldn't think she was anything but a normal shewolf, but both Aiden and I knew otherwise. There was a reason my pack was wiped out, everyone thought it was just a random rogue attack, but we knew different. Whoever took out my pack was after me, they had wanted to ensure I died. They weren't expecting me to survive, but my parents and Aiden's parents had prepared for this. While they didn't know who they would attack, our parents had put a plan together ensuring that Aiden and I would be taken care of. My parents sacrificed themselves so that I could escape to Aiden's pack, and while I missed my parents everyday we had known this was coming. I was just glad that Aiden was my mate, as it made things a bit better. Aiden, Reagan and I were the direct descendants of the final Royal Wolves. For centuries the Royal Wolves were hunted and no one wanted them to come back into power, together with the other supernatural royals, they would help ensure peace among the species something not everyone wanted.

Everyone knew that once the three of us found each other we would grow stronger and would be almost impossible to stop, especially once we ascended the throne. It was the main reason that people tried to kill us as kids. Aiden and my parents were very well aware and did everything they could to protect us. It had been a few years since there had been an attack on us, both Aiden and I were strong fighters and trained everyday, but we had yet to meet our third mate so we weren't as big of a threat. Now that we had met Reagan we knew that others would be after us, it was only a matter of time before people knew that we had found her.

While Reagan was in the hospital recovering Aiden and I had made sure that we tied up the loose ends from our takeover at the Tree Spore Pack. We needed to keep everything under wraps while Reagan fully recovered, while there had been other Alpha's there who were willing to buy her and we couldn't just kill them without raising suspicion, we along with the Council had compelled and warped their memories so no one could remember what happened. The Council was very much on our side, they were strong Royal supporters and wanted nothing more than for us to succeed. For the time being, they were there to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, as well as being the closest advisors of the Royals. For now, no one was aware that we had met our final mate and we were planning on keeping it that way until we were ready.

"I'm so glad you guys came and saved me when you did, I wasn't sure how much longer I'd last." Reagan told us and Aiden leaned down giving her a kiss on the forehead.

"We're sorry we couldn't get there sooner, our queen, but you know what needed to happen." He said and I nodded, leaning down and kissing her forehead as well. We were glad that we were finally able to rescue her, and could make her ours. We knew Reagan had been kidn*pped, and that she was being kept hidden, it had been foretold to us by the Moon Goddess when we were children. No one, other than our families and a very select group of council members were aware, including Scott. Our Beta and his mate knew as well, as well as our Gamma, Carter. Our Gamma Jack wasn't aware as he was the Queen's chosen protect protector, but he hadn't found his mates yet, who would also lay their lives down for the Queen. We had all been pleased to find out that his mates were the ones who wanted her rescued, when it was time they would be aware of their upcoming duty, we just needed to make sure they were worthy. Had his mates not been worthy Jack would have either had to reject them, and he'd be granted a second chance, or he could choose them but leave his duty as the Queen's protector, it was the main reason he couldn't know. We needed to make sure that he was making the right choice and that his mates were worthy without any input.

Reagan, Aiden and I had all met when we were children, and it nearly killed Aiden and I to allow the horrors she'd experience to happen, but we all knew it needed to happen. Similarly to one of us losing our parents, we knew didn't know who it would be, but we were aware so we had spent the time we had with our families to the fullest and we knew we'd eventually see them again.

"Doctor Mark has said you can come home with us soon." I told Reagan and her eyes light up in excitement. We knew she disliked the hospital because it reminded her of being trapped in the cells, and with Amethyst healing her we knew she'd be ok to come home with us sooner, rather than later.

"Amethyst said she's almost back to normal, the silver and wolfsbane are almost gone." Reagan said and I nodded.

"It needs to all be gone before Doc will let you come you." Aiden said, and Reagan pouted at him. We both chuckled at her, we knew she'd have to be one hundred percent before we could all mark and mate each other, and Amethyst needed to have her strength to complete the bond, something we were very much looking forward too, as was Reagan.

"Doc just linked me that we need to bring you back into the hospital room. He wants to give you your antibiotics and you need to rest." I told Reagan and she nodded.

"It's showtime." She said, adjusting herself in the wheelchair to make herself appear meeker and weaker than she was. Aiden and I rolled our shoulders back and Aiden gave my hand a quick squeeze and gave me a quick kiss, before we started to push our mate back into the hospital, but Reagan cleared her throat stopping us.

"Where's my kiss mates?" She asked and Aiden and I grinned at each other. I leaned down first, capturing her soft lips with mine, giving her a long over due kiss, once we broke apart, Aiden replaced me, and I could tell both our wolves were purring in content. Reagan smiled at us both before she resumed her sad looking state.

"That will tied me over until I can get out of this retched place." She said as we pushed her through the doors.
