James fame and heroics quickly spread across the country. Some said he was simply not human , others said he was a freak and used magic while some saw him to be extraordinarily gifted and blessed. No matter how they saw him, he was loves by so many and also hated by many who saw him as an adversary and a competitor.

After the last meeting with Sean and how he barely escaped being mailed by his berserkers, Sean had been planning another attack on not only James but his family as well. He wanted to use his loved ones to get to him as that would further break him and disorganize him. He was no longer afraid to operate in Nimron as he was seeing himself as a general and god because not his berserkers. He had successfully created more berserkers and was now a master and general of a valiant army. He had been in several disagreement with the vampire elders as well as the werewolf leader against causing any mayhem and attacks in Nimron as this was against the signed pact between the government of Nimron and the representatives of other creatures. Disregarding the signed agreement meant war on the humans and that would bring about disunity between all of them. Sean would always tell them they were afraid of the humans and charged them to attack the humans and take Nimron all to themselves instead of hiding in caves and bushes while the humans lived in Mansions and castles.

“ We are not afraid of the humans but we are standing in the agreement because they accepted us when every other town wanted to hunt is for game. They allowed us into their town on the account that we do not attack any of their citizens or kill them for food. Why so you want to destroy the peace we have built for so long because if your selfish quest.” One of the vampire elders said.

“ you’re all cowards. You call this peace?. Q place where you cannot be allowed to walk about freely and do the same things they do. Do you actually think that because they are not fighting against you now that they won’t fight against you in the future. They are biding their time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike you while you least expected. They are building weapons capable of obliterating each and everyone of us in a second and you are thinking of wining and dining with them. Shame on you! I would being this war to them even if I have to do it alone because I don’t need your help. I have the perfect army that I need. So, you all can sit there and watch me take over this town or join me but don’t dare stand in my way”. After he said this to the council of elders, he walked out with his three berserker soldiers. If he stood any chance of taking over Nimron, he knew he had to get James and his team our if the way.

James had fine to school when Sean and his berserkers stormed their house and attacked his mum. She fought as much as she could, as a true blood, she was capable of killing two berserkers before she was finally overpowered. Sean wanted to kill her at the spot but thought of a better way to utilize was turning her into a berserker to either kill her son nor have him kill her instead. He captured both Neemah and Maya and took them to the outskirts of the town where he stationed his army and operations.

When James returned home from school that day, he was heartbroken as he found everywhere torn apart without seeing neither his mum nor his nanny, Maya. He saw the remains not the two berserkers that Neemah had killed and immediately he knew she was in danger. He growled so loud and so much agony and pain could be felt from his growl. He angrily scattered some items in the house and immediately ran out of the house having evolved into his beast form. He followed the scent of the berserkers as they had a very strong scent and smelt like death. He traced the scent into the outskirts of the town where Sean and his soldiers lived. Because if the height of rage he had, he descended on everyone without a second thought and made a mess of everyone of them. Sean had never seen such rage and ferocity. He had turned Neemah to a berserker and made her attack James. James didn’t recognize her at the first instant and would have killed her too if not for Maya who had told him she was his mum.

“ James Nooo!, It’s your mother. They turned her into one of those things. Please don’t kill her” Maya shouted. As James heard that, he was immediately weakened and lost his rage forcing him to lose hi guard. Neemah regained herself and stabbed James from behind and he fell to the ground. The dagger of a berserker was more dangerous than any kind of weapon. It hypnotized James and gave others the chance to carry him into the production room and strapped him on the table. Sean commanded Neemah to kill James with her dagger. She came close, held the dagger in her hands and she raised it to kill James, James closed his eyes and let out the tears.

“Neemah! He’s your boy. I know you’re in there, come back to us!” Maya said as she had started weeping.

“ Its me mum, I know you’re in there!” James said hoping his mum could hear him and break out from the spell. It seemed to be working and she was gradually getting back to her normal self till Sean shouted at her.

“ Kill him!” Sean’s voice strengthened the spell as berserkers are bound to obey their masters. She immediately stabbed James on the shoulder and he let out a very agonizing growl. Meanwhile his team had felt the connection as the growl was also a way of communicating to his team. They followed the direction of the growl and made it to where James was. They engaged in a fight with the berserkers and the werewolves. The twin Kitsunes were very strong and were landing a perfect combination attacks as though they had practiced before coming.They were a strong force for Sean and his pack and this angered him so much that he wanted to turn James into a berserker too. His plan was for James to attack his teammates and force them to kill each other. He brought the animal skull and out it in James head and wore him the bone vests of an animal before performing the incantations. The twin Kitsunes tried to stop him but Neemah and the berserkers wouldn’t let them stop Sean. He was able to complete the ritual despite Sean’s struggles and turned him into a berserker. Immediately he let loose the chains, everyone was silent. The berserkers stopped fighting and the twins didn’t know what to do. James rose and attacked them , they fought each other until the arrival of Danny. Danny tried to reach out to Sean the way he did the night he first unleashed his power but the spell seemed too great to be broken.

“Jammie! buddy! ….. it’s me Danny, please fight it. I know you’re in there!” Danny said as James had stopped fighting and stood like someone who was traumatized. Danny thinking James had broken away from the curse , came close to him but James attacked him and held him to the wall.

“ Please Jammie , Fight it!, I know you’re in there” Danny said as tears dropped from his eyes and immediately James eyes changed their color to green and he growled loudly. The Bones shattered and the skull fell off from his head. The growl was so fierce that it affected everyone . The berserkers were in pain and held kept their hands over their ears. The growl was so loud that it wanted to explode their heads. The werewolves couldn’t stand the impact and ran away from the building. Sean tried all he could to resist it but couldn’t, he left the place as he was bleeding through the nose as a result not the resistance he gave. He saw that he was losing the fight and took Neemah away with him. She was still under the influence of the spell and was following Sean’s orders.

James finally stopped but fell to the ground, the power he used to break the curse overwhelmed him and he lost his strength. When they all realized themselves, everyone was okay but Neemah was nowhere to be found. They tracked Sean and caught up with him in the woods. Again to enable him and his crew gqin the chance to escape, he sent Neemah after James once again. This time James didn’t fight back but tried to talk her out of it.

“ mum, it’s me!...come back to me!...I know you’re in there and I want you to come back to me” James said as he had started crying , he couldn’t harm his mum or fight her. Fortunately, she regained consciousness and the spell was broken but Sean was long gone. He commanded the werewolves to keep fighting and took the berserkers with him. He didn’t take the berserkers because they were afraid, he took them because he didn’t want to lose them . Berserkers are never afraid of an opponent or a battle and they never give up unless commanded by their leader. James and his team massacred the werewolves but couldn’t get to Sean. James was very disappointed because that was his chance to end Sean once and for all but he was glad he had his mum back and his friends were all safe except for Aiden who was bitten by one of the werewolves. The cure of a werewolf on a kitsune was very dangerous and deadly. It could either kill them or turn them into a werewolf, one cannot be a werewolf and a kitsune at the same time. They didn't notice he was injured until the moment he fell to the ground and began to hallucinate. He was going into a shock and Auden came to his aid.

" what's wrong Aiden?" Auden said as he rushed to where he had fallen. When he saw he had been bitten, he was so heartbroken and couldn't hold back the tears.

" don't cry bro. Everything is going to be alright. Do me a favor, please. Don't let me then into one of those monsters, promise me you'll end me before I get to become one of those things" Aiden asked his brother and one could hear his voice fading away. Auden hesitated to answer but eventually accepted his request. Everyone was thrown in a very sad mood because this was not what they wanted. Just when they were rejoicing that all of them had made it out alive.

" I'll find a way to make you better, I promise. I can't lose you. please don't leave me.!" Auden said as he was still crying. But while he was still speaking, Aiden started hallucinating again and was evolving into a werewolf. His twin brother hesitated but summoned the courage to take out his heart and he stopped breathing and turned to dust. That was the most difficult day of his life as he would never be seeing his twin anymore. Everyone tried to console him but he was in no mood to accept any sympathy, He took off in rage and before anyone could reach out to him, he had varnished. The team was broken and alot has happened just in one night. The night has not only taken one if their friends but had destroyed the team they had put together in their fight against evil.
