The silver bullets

After the incidence with the monsters from the meterverse, The werewolves continued their oppression in Nimron. The mayor was fed up with the increasing turbulent news from the people. Not only were animals being slaughtered, humans were becoming victims and prey too. The mayor passed a degree that all the supernatural creatures were no longer welcomed into the town. The vampires having a more compact and organized leadership exited the town but the wolves being the perpetrators and cause of the new decree refused to oblige by the new decree. The chupacabras were out of control and caused a lot of attacks in the town. James has gone out in the night to stop any attacks that might be happening in the town when he heard some girl screaming in alley. He rushed to the scene only to see a chupacabra over her trying to get a better position to bite on her while she struggled . James quickly rushed on him and bit him on the neck till he died. The girl had been bitten and she was already going into shock. The bite of a chupacabra on a human kills them rather than turn them like werewolves and vampires do. On the other side of the alley laid a young boy in his early twenties with a shot gun in his hands. The girl’s name was Jane and they were returning from a night party when they bumped into the beast who attacked them.

“Please help me. I don’t want to die” the girl pleaded as she moaned her pains.

“ I’m going to help you. Listen to me, you were bitten pretty bad and will not last a night. The virus kills you when it gets to your heart but you can live if you drink or my blood. But if you do this , you will be a vampire, a wolf or even both. I want to know if I have your permission” James said as he held the dying girl.

She nodded and said “ Please do it, I don’t want to die”. When she had given her permission, James bit his wrist and gave her to drink from it. She eventually drank and the shock increased. He didn’t know if it worked or not as he had never tried saving someone with his blood before. Surprisingly the girl survived and stood up, she was a stranger in her own body as she could no longer understand any of what was happening to her. She developed superhuman senses and had a combined strength of not just one creature but there of a vampire, a werewolf and a chupacabra. The interesting about her powers was that she could be in her human form and still possessed those abilities. She could evolve into a chupacabra or a werewolf such was the extent of her newly found powers but she needed help to be able to control her powers. She was overwhelmed by her powers that she ran off on James into the woods.

“ Oh no, what have I done?” James said to himself.

The mayor had contractor the famous werewolf hunters called ‘The Silver bullet'. The silver bullet was headed by a warrior woman, Shannon. She had a long history with the werewolves which promoted her line of work. Years ago, a pack of werewolves invaded her home and massacred her whole family while they went for camping in the woods. She felt so powerless against the beasts that she was forced to watch her family torn limb to limb by the merciless creatures. They would have uncovered her where she hid if not that Michael intervened and engaged them in a fight killing two of the six wolves while the rest took to their heels. She had since then tracked down each and every one of them with hope that their deaths would make her feel better but it wasn’t to be so. She had since then joined forces with experienced hunters like herself in the fight against werewolves. She vowed never to stop till she obliterate them from the face of the Earth. She had turned her passion for hunting werewolves into a business and would often hunt werewolves for a town which wanted them gone and get paid for her services. The silver bullet had assorted weapons capable of taking down any beast. When she arrived she was tasked to take out every supernatural creature in the town other than humans.

James knew there was trouble and he needed to lay low to avoid being hunted. Shannon and her group of hunters mounted an excessive pressure on the wolves that they began to hide from the Town. A cold blood ran through his spine the first day he saw the heavily built and mean looking woman presumably in her fifties with her name of mercenaries heavily loaded like a third was just broke out. He grew cold instantly as woman approached him and his friend Danny one afternoon. They seem to be looking for someone in particular judging from the looks on their faces .

“Hello boys……Uuuhhm, there’s a young girl, blonde and in her fifties, about 5 feet tall. I was wondering if you by any means came across her “ Shannon asked with her masculine voice almost like she’s been drinking and smoking and it affected her voice.

The boys sat gazing at the heavily armed mean looking men right in front not them . They wished they had gone home after classes instead of sitting to take a rest under the canopy tree. When she didn’t get any response for some seconds, she brought out a copy of picture from her waist bag and showed it to the boys trying to get their attention.

“ Hey!....look, did you see this girl anywhere around town?”

The boys immediately regained their consciousness and quickly shook their heads in negation like some scared little boys. On a second look at the picture, James widened his eyes unknowingly like he recognized the girl in the picture and yes he sure did. It was the girl who ran off last night after he turned her. She was Shannon’s niece and an apprentice werewolf Hunter. She had gone out unnoticed last night to have fun with a guy she met in town but never returned to camp. Shannon thought maybe she had wandered too far and didn’t know her way back to camp and decided to look for her.

“What? You’ve seen her , haven’t you?”

“ Yes….uhm I mean no…just thought she’s cute. Reminds me someone very dear to me” James by then was shivering and a hot sweat ran through his face like he was being chased by something.

“ Got something you need to tell me, boy?” Realizing the uneasy expression James had on his compared to Danny’s calmness.

“ No ma’am, Nothing. Never seen her.” He said trying to adjust himself, making it look less obvious he knew something. “ I think we should better be going, ma’am”

“Well if you remember anything or see anything, I live few blocks down the street or you give me a call” hands a little white card with a number boldly written on it and on the top says “The Silver Bullet”

James took the paper and left her presence. He knew he had to look for the girl before she does any more damages. As her Alpha, he felt he owed her that guidance in mastering her abilities and overcoming her vampire urge before she sucks the whole town dry. He used his inner Alpha ultrasound ability to detect her location. He could hear her whining like a wounded dog and knew she was in pains battling the vampire and wolf transformation all at once. She didn’t want to harm anybody and so ran into the woods and was feeding off animal blood. With the full moon coming, he better not let her stay out there all by herself. He tracked the whimpering sound into the woods and found her behind a huge rock wriggling in pain. She had torn her clothes in her incessant struggles and looked so untidy with just a day in the woods. He could feel her pains and her heartbeat racing faster like it was going to shoot out from her chest. She looked at him and he could see her fading helpless gaze like she was calling for help.

“ I’m not going to harm you, please let me help you. Allow me to help you.”

She tried to to be aggressive towards James who held her tightly but she kicked him out and ran away. Jane was super strong for a normal werewolf because she does not have the strength of a werewolf alone but also that of a vampire and chupacabra. If he had any chances of helping her, he had to evolve into his full beast form which is stronger and more reliable. He evolved to the wolf form and ran after her, he eventually caught her and looked into glowing eyes.

“Three things cannot long be hidden, the sun, the moon , the truth. Repeat after me!” This was a manthra used by Japanese werewolves to control their powers during full moon.

“Three things cann…ooot long be hidd…en, the s..un , the moon, the truth”

She was able to repeat after him for so many times before she became less violent and regained her consciousness. Gradually, her glowing eyes began to change to normal before James gave her some clothes to put on.

“ I need you to think about something that you could always get carried away with whenever you remember it. It will be your anchor and will help to suppress the animal form. The full moon is coming up in a couple of days and I need you to trust me to help you control your power or it will overwhelm you.”

James was looking lost as he led the girl out from the woods. He had a great responsibility before him. The last thing he wanted was to let her aunt know what she’s become. He was lost in his thoughts…

“ what if he had allowed her to die that night when she was hurting and moaning in pain and discomfort in the pool of her own blood. No! That would have been so cruel of him.” He thought to himself. “ But why does she have to be the niece to the only woman who’s capable of hunting him to death”

All this thoughts went through his head, he seemed to be in more psychological pain and discomfort than the girl was in physical pain and discomfort. But all those thoughts didn’t matter anymore as he had a responsibility of keeping his beta safe. For sure, he’ll be needing the help of his friend, Danny. He picked his cell phone and called Danny.

“ what’s up Buddy, I really need your help like right now” a very distressed voice said to Danny.

He looks at the screen of his phone to know if it was a strange number but it was James, his friend.

“ It’s the middle of the night man, can it wait till tomorrow?” Danny said with the sleep still dragging his eyes.

“ No, it can’t wait…It’s very urgent please”

“Alright, tell me where you are , I’ll come get you.”

James gave him his location and within some minutes Danny arrived at the place and was surprised to see him all alone with a young girl. He was a kind of confused with why James would be in the middle of nowhere with a young girl. Was he having a secret affair? Even if he was, couldn’t he at least get a room or talk to him about it and he would have been more than happy to help. After all he’s always wanted him to be with a girl.

“Buddy, uhhm this is Jane…Uuuhmmm, I ummm…I kind of bit her and uhmm she ….”

James was still speaking when Danny opens his mouth in disgust.

“ Oh no, it’s not like biting kind of attacking her actually she was attacked by a chupacabra and was going to die so I offered to give her my blood to turn her into a werewolf instead of letting her die. It didn’t turn out so well for her as she’s been having difficulties in controlling the urge. She’s the same girl that woman asked us about earlier today” James tries to explain aa fast as he could to prevent Danny from looking at him differently like he’s gone crazy.

“ She’s what?” Danny asked in utter disappointment. “ Dude, this doesn’t look so good”

“ I know Danny, I just need you help. I promise I’ll find a way to get this sorted out”

Having heard this James called Danny out few steps from where Jane sat.

“ I hope you’re not asking me to take in a blood thirsty, ferocious, crazy looking and untamed beta into my house because that a No! No! for me.”

“ Relax Danny, she’s not as bad as you think. I need you to get me where I can keep till at least after the full moon so I can teach her how to control herself and the power. Please buddy” Danny sounded desperately like his life depended on it.

“Alright buddy, there’s one of my mummy’s old house we put out on rent but no one has come yet because the house is located far from the road. You can keep her there for the time being”

“ Thanks buddy, I love you bro” James jumped in excitement and they left together in Danny’s car to the place where they could keep her.
