The Guards dragged her into her room, following orders of the King and Giselle. Giselle told the maids to hold her, and let the guards out. Geneva has stopped thrashing, and throwing things. It wouldn't do any good! She has to use her head to get to her parents. " Where did you send my parents? " Geneva asked, gritting her teeth. " They are sent home. " Giselle answered, walking back to Geneva. " Why are you doing this? What does your King want? " Geneva asked, furrowing her brows, her voice gentle but in pain. Giselle stared at her, and said, " He just wants to have dinner. Have dinner with him, and then you can do whatever you want. " " Only dinner? You mean I'm just staying for the night? This is not permanent? " Geneva asked, hope sparkling in her eyes. Geneva clapped her hands, ignoring her questions, and the maids pushed her down on the chair, before the vanity. Kennedy was standing in a corner, biting her lip. " Kennedy, do your thing. Make her ready for dinner. " Giselle called, and sat on the bed. Kennedy reluctantly walked to Geneva, and tried to smile. She started to pull the pins, and flowers from her hair. She undid the braid, and let her hair fall to her midwaist. Geneva didn't want Kennedy to be questioned but she asked her, " How long do I have to stay? For the night? " Kennedy sighed, and looked at Giselle from the mirror. Geneva watched the scary woman glaring Kennedy down. The maids weren't supposed to answer her. Geneva let out a soft sigh, and her shoulders slumped. She could only hope that the wolf king will leave her after dinner. Geneva was ready within few minutes. Her black gownatched her hair, it's sleeves ran down to her wrists, embroideries in black amde it look gothic, and the train touched the floor, and it seemed to follow her while she walked. Her hair was spread over her back, and her face bare of makeup. Giselle was holding Geneva by her arm, and practically pulling her to have dinner with the King. Geneva winced as Giselle put more pressure while dragging her downstairs. " I'm not going to run, you know. " Geneva snapped. " Who knows what is brewing up in your mind. " Giselle answered as they rushed down the stairs. Geneva was expecting something Royal but no food was decorated on the table, in fact there want any table to dine on. Giselle took Geneva to the throne, and let her sit there. The wolf King wasn't there yet. " So unroyal! " Geneva grunted, massaging her arm. Giselle stood beside her, and waited for the wolf king to come. After waiting for him for five minutes, Geneva started to bite her nails. " That's gross. " Giselle commented. " You are the one to talk. Where is the table? Where is food? And this is very unmannerly for a king to be late for dinner when his guest is already waiting for him. " Geneva shouted. Giselle was going to say something but a deep voice interupted her. " My apologies. I shouldn't have made you wait. " The wolf king said. Geneva's head snapped towards him, and her eyes widened. " No... It's okay. " She said, lowering her head a bit. The wolf king entered the square platform, and said, " You don't have to be scared, Geneva. " " I don't have to be scared? You have abducted me in front of my parents! " Geneva accused the wolf king. " I know... But... " " But what? I have longed to see my parents. I don't have my memories. I can only trust them in this troubled time. Only THEY can help me. And you took that help away from me. " Geneva said, letting every bit of anger she was feeling, show on her face. " Geneva, " " Miss. Rivers. Call me Miss. Rivers. " Geneva corrected the wolf king. Shaye was hurt, he lowered his head, and nodded slowly. " I am sorry, Miss. Rivers. I just wanted to say a proper goodbye to you. I thought we were friends. " He said. " I thought so, too!! And then you went and did this! You could have just asked me, you know. Instead of ordering your guards to drag me to my room. " Geneva said. " They dragged you? Are you hurt? I didn't know. I.. I ordered them to take you to your room. But... I... " Geneva raised her hand to stop him. " Stop it. Just tell me when are you going to let me leave? Or are you trying to hold me prisoner? " Geneva asked. " No. Absolutely not! How could you think that? I just want to have dinner with you. And it is night already. You shouldn't go tonight. You can leave tomorrow. " Shaye answered her. " But I want to leave now. " Geneva huffed. " You'll be allowed to leave tomorrow. End of discussion. " Shaye said, and looked forward. A man apoesred with Devon, and he bowed to the wolf king. The man waved his hands, and a table was instantly there in front of Geneva. The servants brought food, and water. Two silverwares were set on the table. But the wolf king didn't come to sit with her. He was standing on the platform still. " Aren't you coming? " Geneva asked. And to answer her question, a large plate, which consisted meat, was brought by two servants. They kept it before Shaye but he didn't even look at the food. " Aren't you transforming to your human form to eat? " Geneva frowned. " No. " Shaye answered, and started to eat his dinner as gentlemanly as he could. Instead of Shaye, Devon sat on the opposite chair. And the servants started serving them food. They first served bread, and shrimp soup. Then they served roasted mackerel seasoned with lemon and herbs. First, Geneva wanted the meat that they serve her in the morning but when she ate the fish, she forgot about the meat. She moaned, closing her eyes but hearing some throats being cleared, she snapped her eyes open. Devon smirked at her. " Are you moaning because of the fish or because I'm sitting so close to you?" He asked. " You're so full of yourself. " Geneva said, shaking her head slowly. Giselle choked a laugh. Even the guards snickered at the comment. Devon's cheek reddened, and he lowered his head to focus on his food. Geneva also enjoyed the small squares of cheese, and some apples and oranges. When she was done, the servants took their plates away. Geneva waited for someone to speak. When no one did, She turned to Shaye. " You can go home tomorrow. I'll have the carriage master know. The maids have already filled the trunks. " Shaye said. " What trunks? I didn't bring anything here. " Geneva frowned. Shaye slowly looked up at her and said, " I give gifts to my guests. And you're one of them. So, please accept everything I am giving to you. " He said. Geneva slowly nodded, looking away. The guards, servants, Giselle, and Devon walked away, leaving Shaye and Geneva alone. "And I apologize. I didn't mean to hurt you. I thought that you wouldn't want to stay a minute after meeting your parents. And I badly wanted to talk to you for the last time. I am really sorry. You are the only one except Devon, and Giselle, who talk backs to me, and shows me my place. You are my only friend except Devon. So, it was really nice to meet you, Miss. Rivers. Thank you for considering me your friend even for a while, not lowering tour head down even if you were afraid of me, trusting me, and also for tolerating me. This was an unexpected but a memorable day. I hope to see you soon, Miss. Rivers. " Shaye said, and sauntered away. Geneva hecaed a sigh. The wolf King is mot keeping her here. And that is the safest and the best thing to know. Kennedy cam down the stairs and called Geneva. It was late at night, and she needed rest. It was a long way back home. The next morning, Geneva was ready before the clock struck 7. She couldn't believe her eyes when she saw all the trunks that were going out of her room, and into the carriage. Shaye has gifted her so many dresses, shoes, jewels, and even some story and poetry books. Geneva was waiting to bid Shaye farewell, and thank him. She didn't get the chance to thank him for the dresses before. She forgot. But now she should definitely thank him. He has helped her get to her parents. And that is the best thing that had happened to her after she woke up in the woods. Geneva pacednin the room, rubbing her palms together. Kennedy entered the room, and Geneva looked behind her to see if she brought Shaye. When she didn't find him, she looked Kennedy. " He is busy. He has some important works to do. " Kennedy answered. Geneva slowly nodded. He is the King after all. He has works except helping the poor girl who has lost her memories. " Then, off I go. " Geneva said, to which Kennedy nodded and smiled. Geneva walled to the door but turned to her maid. " Thank you for not bullying me. " She said, and embraced Kennedy. Kennedy smiled, and said, " I think I am going to see you again. " Geneva broke the hug, and asked, " Why do you think so? " " Just a hunch. " The maid shrugged. Geneva smiled, and after giving her a quick hug, she rushed downstairs. Devon was waiting at the front big wooden door. His usual smirk wasn't there. Though Geneva is always irritated by his flirting, and miscommunication that she wants to sleep with him, she didn't want to say goodbye to him. Devon smiled softly at her but it turned into a shock when she wrapped him in a warm hug. Devon let out a chuckle and hugged her back. " I promise I won't try to flirt with you the next time you come to the mansion. " He said, to which Geneva nodded. He felt her smiling. Breaking the hug, Geneva walked to the carriage. Giselle was standing beside the carriage with her usual stoic face. Her eyes avoided Geneva but she grunted a goodbye when Geneva stepped on the carriage. Giselle was stunned when Geneva returned her goodbye with a pleasant, smile which was void of hatred. The carriage rolled on the pebbled road, and Giselle felt something creeping into her heart after a long long time. A smile slowly bloomed on her face, and her hands itched to wave at the lost but not so lost girl. Geneva's eyes scanned the path to her house. The mansion was really far away. The pebbled roads turned into soiled, dusty ones soon but the carriage didn't stop. She passed the woods, and wondered if that was the forest she woke up in. She slowly put her head out of the carriage window, and tasted the wind. The salty, crispy wind turned to warm, cinnamon one as the trees grew more. Something blue flashed at the corner of her eyes but when she looked, she found nothing. She hoped to find Shaye following her, just to say goodbye because he couldn't bid her farewell for he was busy. Bit he was the King. He has works. Geneva's mood turned down, and she pulled her head in, and waited to teach her house. " Miss, We are here. " The Carriage master said. Geneva took a deep breath in, and stepped outside. The carriage master put the trunks outside. " Geneva! " A woman shouted. Geneva's eyes snapped towards her and she grinned. " Mom! " She shouted back, and ran to her. They hugged until her father came too. The man with ginger hair hugged her and asked if the ride was okay. Everything was just fine, until a younger boy apoesred at the doorway. " Toman, help your father! " Geneva's mother shouted at the boy. " Who is he? " Geneva asked. " Your brother. " Her mother replied. Geneva grinned at the boy. She was ecstatic that she had a brother. " Hi. How are... " Toman glared at her as his shoulder bumped with hers on the way to the carriage. Geneva frowned at her brother. She knew right away, that she and her brother doesn't get along at all.
