Aria’s POV “Jaxon, stop!” I protested, trying to free my hand from his grip. But it was useless. Totally useless. Jaxon held me firmly so much that it stung. I tried looking behind to see what Alex was doing as I heard the kid moaning in pain, but Jaxon yanked me forward. “We have a meeting to attend.” “What did you ask Alex to do?” I demanded, fearing the worse. “He's just a child!” “You wanted him freed, right?” Jaxon said, not bothering to spare me a glance. “That's what Alex is doing.
