ONE STEP AWAY

It all became more worse for George on his 13th birthday , he woke up early in the morning only to find out he had bedwetted , he felt ashamed and sad he had to carry out his daily routine , he would wake up as early as 5am just in case he bedwetted , so he can quickly freshen up without anyone noticing , so as to avoid the humiliation from his younger sister , who would always taunt him whenever he bedwetted. On the other hand , he was also sad his mom (mrs Williams) would always tell him he was useless not even minding that he is a very hardworking student , during school seasons he reads at least 4 hours everyday and during examinations 6 hours , in fact he was at the top of his class and he even got a partial scholarship due to his excellent performance and he was still called lazy but he was always smiling but nobody knew that behind that smile was a sad teenager , he always said in his heart, "why am I kicking my a*s night and day for people who don't even value me" when he was still lost in thoughts , he heard his mom calling out saying " George go get the broom and start sweeping" he pretendingly smiled and went to sweep , it was still around 6 am , when he had finished sweeping he was still lost in thoughts when his elder sister who seems to be the only person who cared about him called out to him and asked him if he had eaten and he said no his sister then told him to go and take his breakfast on his way to the dinning table to get the cereals which he will be taking as his breakfast , his mother said in a loud voice you have not done anything and you want to eat , at that time it was about 7 am , his elder sister decided to go back to sleep and his other siblings Maddy and Gary were still in bed and George angrily said no I won't even eat this morning if that's what you want and he went back to his room and started crying
