Chapter 16 YESENIA ESCOBAR  As I watched Eli beat the two men, I hugged my hands to my body, tears welling up in my eyes. No matter how tightly I hugged myself, it still didn’t stop the shivering. As I watched Eli beat them, I could not even feel pity. Instead, disgust prevailed in my body and fear.
