Chapter 11 YESENIA ESCOBAR LIKE EVERY other night, I awoke gasping for air and sweating heavily. I walked carefully to the restroom because I felt like something was digging into my stomach, and when I got there, I vomited till there was nothing left inside my tummy. I assumed it would never happen again after speaking with Dr. Vernice, I thought my nightmares would be lessened. I'm not sure why I've been having so many nightmares in the last few weeks. I sat down on the sofa and silently wept as I gradually calmed myself down. But instead of settling down, things worsened, and I had much more trouble breathing.
