My name is Calvin Davenport Jr. Friends call me Port for short. I was your average 17 year old. Playing video games, skateboarding and eating pizza at the mall with friends. Everything was perfect until...One cool breezy fall day. I was on my way to my best friend's Kyle's house. I decided to go off my usual path through the old abandoned mall...

"Why did I ever do that"

As I was almost mid-day I saw a cat locked in the mall through the glass doors. I decided to go let him out but the doors were locked. I searched for a way to get in but there was none until...Out of no where the maintenance door opened. No one was around so I entered.

"Why did I ever do that". Who knew that from this point on my life would never be the same...not even myself.

Somehow, in the same place , same time but alone. Fighting a war that has been going on forever. In the open clear as day or as the eyes could see.. but no one knew. Millions of chaotic, psychopaths called Adrenaline's; who would stop at nothing to carry out their evil plan of global influence....until, well that was the case until I ran into more like myself....we call ourselves "The Unity".

" I'm coming mom" Calvin yelled from the top of the staircase. He struggled to put his sneakers on. He had his skateboard in his hands. Balance was his kryptonite. His mother had cooked his favorite breakfast. Bacon, toast and juice. Calvin shot down the stairs as fast as he could. Kissed his mother on the cheek and rubbed his dad's hair. He went straight towards the pantry and grabbed a pastry. He headed toward the door looked back at his mom smiled, paused for a second and left. his mother looked at him smirked and shook her head. he rushed out and closed the door behind him. Calvin was your typical teenage boy. video games, skateboarding with friends at the old mall and always on the move. He was meeting his friend Thomas today they were going to try to make there first ever skate video with a new camera Thomas had gotten for his birthday a few days ago. He hopped off the porch and raced down the street. He could be more interested in the skills along with unique tricks that he was going to perform than paying attention to notice he left his bus pass in his room on the dresser. He ran along the sidewalk; looked both ways down the street for on coming traffic. There was none. His skateboard shot skillfully tossed in front of his like an professional bowler prepared to bowl a perfect game. Skateboard rolling he hopped on it with ease without a care in the world. The feeling of full bliss filled his body. The wind passed over his like a plane or jet. The feeling as a bird. "Hey Calvin" a voice from one of the neighbors who were watering their garden yelled out..All Calvin did was wave. Two more blocks and the bus stop was were it would always be. Finally after a few minutes Calvin arrived at the bus stop. It's was unusual there was no one else waiting for the at that time. This was a busy area. A loud screech sounded off.The bus pulled up to a halt. The air shocks released. "All aboard" the bus driver said with a strong northern voice "Ladies and children first then youngins" Calvin entered the bus. " I don't have my pass sir" Calvin explained. Him and the bus driver made eye contact "Sorry young buck " the driver answered. " I've been driving this bus route for thirty years and I've seen alot. You youngins are the worse..Full of energy, strong and you don't want to work for anything. In my days we walk thirty miles to and from school every... Calvin started at the driver rambling off at the mouth. He took a step back off the bus hopped on his skateboard and skated off. He looked back at the bus noticing that the driver was still talking. " I have to make to the photo shoot on time he thought to himself". Pass the new mall everything was a blurry. Across the bridge, through the tunnel. He finally reached the old mall where he was supposed to meet Thomas. No sign of Thomas or anyone else for that matter. Calvin thought he was late and Thomas, his new camera and all hope of becoming an internet sensation only going to be a myth or a dream falling away like his 13th birthday. He would never forget this day. It was engraved as an epitaph on the back of his brain. (let's just say the gift that he wanted would never ever come true or happen he thought). Calvin looked around for any signs of Thomas; but there was none. He started walking towards the old mall entrance thinking maybe Thomas went in side and started like a intro to the video but when he pulled on the door handle it was locked. Calvin couldn't understand what was going on or where Thomas went. But in the twinkle of an eye. Something caught his eye. A all black cat with yellow striped pattern down it's back was staring at him through the malls ground window. The cat was so still that Calvin thought it was fake until he saw the cat's tongue lick it's lips. Calvin thought to himself how did it get in there. Or whoa cat it was because it did have collar. He tried to read the words on the cat's collar but the reflection from the sun's glare disfigured the clearness of the letters which formed words. Calvin decides to wall to check the service doors to see if they were unlocked...to his surprise they were. He walked in with such a pose of military caution that he held his breath every footstep taken. " Hello" He shouted but not at the top of his teenage lungs."Anyone here, Thomas are you in here". The only voice that he could hear was his own; shadow boxing off the walls. He lodge his skateboard in the door just in case he had to escape a vampire or mystical creature that was hiding out there for years just waiting for a special young dinner like a teenage boy to devour. he could only ponder the possibilities that ran through his head a race cars on the track. There was not much light in this place. The sun window that was in the center of the malls main court showed little light due to the leaves that pile on top of each other over the years. It's wasn't hot but humid a bit. There wasn't any power running through the building wires. Dead mall plants, water puddles that built up over the years in various spots and spider make their palace's in every dark and gloomy cool corner. Calvin decides to look around a bit more. Old store fronts that weren't occupied in who knows how long. Some stores still had merchandise on the shelves. He went toward the escalator which was covered in dust, glitter and old soda spills. On the upper deck he notice at the end of the corridor there was old trash can blocking a door. He could care less at the moment until a sound of a wind chime was heard. He instantly dug in his pocket and pulled out a swiss army knife that he had gotten from his grandfather ten years ago before he just disappeared. It was the only other thing he remembered him by. Even the memories were becoming void as time went on. "Who's there Calvin shouted. This time with authority and a splash of courage. " I see you"Calvin pleaded. lying to himself and who or whatever was on the there side of that door. With the swiss army knife in one hand shaking and the other hand fingers crossed he wanted it to just be a person who just was living there to come out. Calvin shouted again"Come out now or I'm coming in and it won't be good for you buddy" he said with bravery hanging on each word. Deep down inside the bottom of his pastry filled stomach. He knew he was joking himself. All that ran through his mind was gather yourself and head for the as fast as he could and don't even think about looking back. Then just when he decide to drop the knife and shoot straight for the exit ; That same black cat emerged from the dark shadows of the trash cans with the bell around its neck. Calvin breathed out all the air in his lungs as a person coming up from the bottom of the pool. He couldn't believe that this cat had him so scared. He looked at the cat as he just pranced aback and forth around his feet. purring and meowing as it's was comfortable with his presence. " You had me shook out of my mind kitty" Calvin told the cat. The cat looked up at Calvin. Then in that twinkle and tittle of a second the cat stood on its hind legs, grew taller than Calvin in a flash looked down in his eyes and said " It's not kitty It's Katarra of Justopia Calvin" "We've been waiting for you" Calvin screamed so loud that he fainted. Katarra caught him before he hit the floor. She cradled him as a soldier would cradled a comrade in war. She called his name "Calvin are you ok" " Wake up we have to go there waiting for you" She said in a panicked voice. Never mind she said to herself. She threw him across the shoulder and start running with her feline agility down the corridor towards the trash can piles. She was swift, muscular like a wrestler. She had huge feline eyes and beautiful black hair. Golden streaks flowed down her back like the Nile river. She had a sword on her hip and a shield with a emblem on it of a huge bird. She ran straight through the trash cans along with the door. At that moment Calvin awoke..... "Shhhhahhhe" He screamed as loud as he could. Katarra ran through the trash cans and door then just in a split second everything changed. They were in a yellowish grass like field. There wasn't a tree in Calvin's site for as far as he could see. " Slo.. slo..Slow down please" Calvin asked in humble cover words." " What seems to be the problem your hierness?" She asked." Should I go faster? "No, please no" Calvin pleaded. "I'd prefer you slow down a bit please". " Sorry about that lovely" Katarra replied. She looked around as if she was being hunted or watched. She implanted her left leg into the prickly yellow terrain that was all so ever amazing. It was the brightest of yellow. Each individual love set like a company of soldiers during graduation from training. All set in line. perfectly cut, organized as if someone or something created it this way from it living birth. You could smell the sweet aroma from it riding the invisible waves of cool wind that was on a reoccurring path. Katarra came to a complete halt. She sat Calvin on his feet softly as a nurturing mother lays their infant down in it's crib. Calvin started at her for the lack of knowledge not knowing what to do next. Katarra started her cat like stare back at him and began to unravel a smile upon her feline face. " What's so funny"He asked her ever so nervously?" " You really just don't know do you?" She said to him still with her head on the swivel watch as far as her slanted eyes could ponder. "What are talking about?" Calvin asked. "I need someone to tell me what's going on here?". Katarra said "Soon you'll have all your answers fulfilled. But first we need to move. We still have a ways to go and the meeting will start soon." Without another word being shot out of her mouth. She swooped Calvin up in her arms; through him on her back and took off through the field with such bliss and speed. She ran so fast the she began to lift off the ground. But never flew. After a while they came upon two gigantic statues. They were about seven hundred feet high each. They were made of materials that weren't even recognizable. Both had a shield in hand and sword in the other. They were identical in every which way. Vertically the same, horizontally as well. The had scandals on and both had huge sculpted crown upon their heads. They had uniforms that was something that Calvin could never even imagine. They stood about four feet apart from one another and a calm but strong river flowed ever so beautifully through them. There stood, with no hinges twelve bars that formed a gate but they where made of some form of golden clouds. Every time of color they were made of. These colors intertwined perfectly as if an artist molded then from passion and wisdom. There length was perfect. " Finally we've arrived" Katarra said confidently with a bit of relief hanging on her words. She sat Calvin down to his feet and turned towards the gate. Calvin looked at Katarra watch the gate as if she was hoping that it opened. Patience lingered it the atmosphere as a lion waiting to prance upon is cubs for a playful moment in life . After waiting a while Calvin stood there watching, waiting to make his next move. He couldn't decide if he wanted to run back the way he came through the field of yellow grasslike terrain; or should he just go knock on the gate for them to let him in. Calvin looked far in the distance to only notice that he saw two beings approaching. he couldn't believe it was other people out here or better yet beings. One was bigger and taller than the other. That's the only knowledge he could fathom. "Katarra someone is coming" said Calvin in a very nervously woven together sentence. " I know she replied". " And there's more coming from the east of you". Turning around facing him with a very unique smile on her feminine feline face. As soon as she said this Calvin turned so fast his eyes didn't even capture the two beings that were already standing at least five feet from him. He didn't understand what was going on. As far as his eyes could see across the bright blanketed field; there were about forty to fifty more being walking towards the beautiful gate. Then from every angle that his peripheral could catch; there were more and more beings coming. From the east, west and south of this glorious entrance that moved along the highways of thoughts. Calvin stood there nervous but calm at the same time. He didn't know what was going on or why? As the mass of being continue to enlarge Calvin saw things, people, human and not that would cause questions for philosophers, scientist and the most important people in the world. His eyes were in so much amazement that they didn't even blink from what he was seeing. His brain couldn't even fathom it. There were many kinds of beings coming to this glorious entrance of a gate. Some resembled birds. Some like dogs. Others were like the animals that roam the great plains of the richest continent...Africa. Calvin saw others who was just as normal as he was. He nodded to some but nothing was given in return. Some did wave but in a not so sure way. Then as this yellow one of a kind field blanketed with grass like essence. There was a huge multitude of people, beings, creature's standing in front of this glorious entrance that moved the hearts and minds of all that saw it. No architect could ever in all his days be able to duplicate this. Time paused and Calvin thought about his cell phone. He dug in his left pocket but only to retrieve nothing. He thought to himself... "Maybe I dropped it while I was being carried to my own unwanted funeral"?."Or maybe Katarra and the other animal like beings used some kind of communication where they all conflicted it"?. Other human that were standing there were searching there pockets as well; only to find the same results as Calvin. Some were crying, some nervously mumbling to themselves and other just stood there as if they were waiting for their own demise. They without warning or sign the wind blew so hard, so brutality mended together with velocity that everyone, everything and ever beings eyes grew with awwww. No one clothes moved one bit. No one could ever fathom some event occurring like this. Then...with a quick complete stop. There was no sound at all. No one could even hear their own thoughts being thought. At that same perculiar moment; within the blink of any eye and skill of any ear...a sound that was never heard ever erupted from the bosom of this place. It was so loud that any being that was on this gorgeous bright land grabbed hold to their ears as in pain. Then it stopped.. "What was that Katarra"? Calvin asked on shock. You could hear others asking the same questions to the being that they were accompanied by. "I don't know" Katarra answered in shock herself. "I've never heard that before that loud" Calvin said" "Your telling me that you who brought me here and your counterparts who brought the rest of these people here don't even know what that noise was"? Katarra replied" I'm sorrrrr...But before she could finish her sentence. Before another word could come from her voice box and pass here tongue according to the laws of speech.....That same noise came even louder than before. This time is was so loud that everyone, everything, every being started to cry. Tears flowed from there eyes as an ice sickle melting from a surprise from the sun. There was not one dry eye lash in the whole golden valley. Soon as this phenomenal act happened; another sound followed it. This sound was so loud that eyes became nothing but pupil. Every eye was dry. There was no trace of tears anywhere. Not even on the clothes or ground. Every being stood there looking around at each other as if they were looking for someone to explain what was happening. Then.. a minor pause in physics and growth stood still.. There was no answers being suggested or traces of any culprit who was behind these in heard of events happening. As this multitude stood still eyes pure black as oil. You could see reflections in them as if they were made of stained glass. Before anyone could gather their thought yet another noise sounded and this was even louder than the past three all put together. It's was so loud that it blew everything...everyone, every beings clothes off and there skin turned. This color of skin was never even heard of. It's was almost as if it was every color mixed but clear. It matched the color of a child blowing bubbles and the sunlights reflection laid upon it but more pure.
