Heavy scream
Chapter 1
Elara’s pov
A wide smile erupted on my lips as I watched the moon shine brightly like it got no troubles. The chirping of the birds and the distant vehicles gave the night a different feel.
“ how I wish this would never end, but no…I still have work tomorrow” I murmured to myself, checking the time on my phone.
Still staring at my phone, a call came in ‘Ryan’. I immediately picked it up.
“ hey, buddy, ” I smiled widely my eyes still fixed on the moon
“ hey, lil princess,” his voice came through, making me smile even more.
“I was scared for a moment, that I didn’t want to disturb your sleep, but it seems someone wasn’t asleep at all” he said while I was still smiling
“ not yet. I’m still out here watching the moon. It’s so pretty” I replied
“ you should, it’s late and you’ve got work tomorrow,” he said, and i kept quiet for a while.
“ anyway… how’s cassia ?” He asked
“ did you call me just because of cassia?” I teased “ anyway I think, she’s asleep already,” I replied
“ okay…umm.. I’ll try to talk to her tomorrow so you should go to bed now” he said and I nodded as if he could see me from there.
“ try to brave up and confess your feelings to her, and stop calling me unnecessary,” I said and he chuckled
“ goodnight..go meet your man” he said and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“ goodnight” I muttered, and ended the call
That’s Ryan, my childhood bestie who’s helplessly in love with my sister and somehow too chicken to tell her.wild, right?
I stood up and gave the moon a goodnight smile before making my way to the house and climbing down the rooftop stairs.
Getting to the house, I went to Alina's room to check up on her. I got in and saw my little angel having the most peaceful sleep. Smiling at her sleeping look, I gently made my way out carefully not waking her up.
I pushed the room door open and couldn’t see him in sight.
“Babe?” I called as I walked toward the bathroom to check, but found no one.
“Where could he be?” I asked, not too bothered.
I laid down, covering myself with the duvet.
“Oh my… Cassia. I should check up on her,” I said, quickly getting off the bed and walking out to Cassia’s room.
Knocking gently, I pushed the door open—and what I saw left me in total shock.
“Cassia?” I found myself calling out, my expression beyond words.
“Babe…” I looked over at my so-called baby daddy, who was sweating profusely on top of my sister—who, in turn, just rolled her eyes at me like I was the problem.
I could feel my whole life crumbling around me, my vision blurring with tears, and my hands shaking like never before.
“Cassia!!!” I yelled this time, rushing toward them with a heavy heart.
